Sweet find. Looks like the gas is still good shape ( rusted from the outside like most do). I got mine repaired at radiator shop up jacksonville FL. I was surprised that anyone would even attempt to fix it. Anyhow, they rinsed it out, capped it out and filled it with water and the let the water run into it while they welded a patch. I think I paid him 35 bucks for the fix.

Fixed the wipers today. Here's some pics in case you haven't seen behind the defrost vents. And it gave me the chance to clean the mouse turds out.

1 owner, last tagged in 97, driven with broken exhaust manifold, says valves are burnt.
Trying to get him to throw in the goat.
Given the fact my Cruiser is named the Soap Gulch Goat--I HAVE to hijack your picture!!!!

Did compression test today. This was done on a cold engine with the intake/exhaust manifold removed.

I just found another yard find. Its an 81 BJ42 still registered. Going to try and track down the owner and see if she wants to part with it. Will be great to use for parts on Ruby. Its even the same colour (Freeborn Red)

The Toygoata is alive and well. It gets driven at least once a month. I've moved on to other automobile projects. Right now I am finishing up a 1970 impala that has a 6.0 liter twin turbo LS with 4l80e tranny and 12 bolt posi rear. I still get a kick out of the old FJ though. Haven't been on this forum for quite a while, but love to look at all the old pics of her. You guys are awesome. Later, Charlie
