start tearing it down.. i have the hub socket tho!

need a couple 357F button cell batteries please. can anyone get them at wally worlds? i might have time.

Kelly, I will be bringing parts cleaner Friday morning. I may have to stop by t&w in lees summit to get square tube. Supplier at work can't get it and metal by the foot prices are high. Have to pick it up M-F at TW though and don't get many days off during the week. If I do stop, they open at 8 so I can be there by 9 as long as I can get into Eriks garage to get my trailer full of his "junk" I'm dragging. :hillbilly:

Time to fess up. I found the big leak on my LX. Ends up when I pulled the throttle body off to pull the valvecover I took off the fuel hose and did not plug it. It was creating the leak. .... Sounds like an opening of death by dumba$$.

Colin - no worries on time -- I have lots to work on. Focus is an issue (you are correct Erik)

Erik- I will start tear down of the axle and see how lucky I am on that nut... I may not go far.
I also have 3 of those batteries you need. Also, I plan on stopping by Harbor on the way home tonight, so I will see if they have those spot weld cutters.

For anyone else that is coming, I think we have food (main course) and beer covered. If anyone wants to bring something (not that you have to) bags of chips, sides, snacks could be donated.

if your stopping at harbor freight pick up a welding spoon Welding Spoon
and a couple of those spot weld cutters for me.. i'll pay you when i get there.
DANG i gotta bring some cash.. don't roll me when we get there!
I"m bringing i think 2 or 3 knuckle kits worth of parts and 2 rotors if they're needed by someone. plus my little boxes of "stuff"..

I already went to harbor and picked up two of the bits for you, but didn't get the spoon... however, your in luck as I have one already.

Also, locked the keys in the 80' while I was there,:bang:

Wifey came got me and tools.:bounce:... spent 15 minutes drilling out the handle that was already broken, new one was sitting safely in the car! Sounds like I have a last minute addtion to wrenching weekend.

green handle drivers side? pretty simple to replace. they snap like twigs in the cold.
I have a huge sheet of copper but wanted to try the spoon.. i've smashed tube flat before and used it..
Thanks for the parts run! WE're getting close.. PIcking up firewall tonight at the parents house.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow or Saturday. We will have internet connection, so we can post up progress, or get any PM's.

If you are not a Tornado Alley Cruiser Member, you can bring the $10 and become a member. HUGE Molle discount is worth it.

Cheers!

The Con Ferr roof rack I am picking up Sat. morning will be at goodyear service center 10220 Stevenson in Lenexa. Is that close to you?

Goodyear is not too far away. Congrats on the find. I think we are ready to play.

So I just found this thread and am now caught up after reading a novel. I'll be there as early as I can--expecting 9:30 so I have all my parts that were ordered. If I'm not there by 10:30 send a search party, as I'll be limping my less than two week old to me '82 mini there. I think she'll make it.

My wish list on it is change out rear springs, carb rebuild, bend shifter, and change rear axle seals...oh and drink beer/heckle is also on my list. If anything is needed to bring please let me know! Also going to try to get the frame I delivered out of K's yard--anyone need an '85 four runner frame? other spares include 85 flatbed mini with bad frame, xtra cab off of '85, ps box, gas tank

See y'all there!

How early is too early to start drinking that keg?? :)

before i get there is too early.
