Please do your best to keep the the testosterone level & subsequent cloud over the garage. If it comes near my office in Lenexa, that's just gonna be bad for the whole FOUR of us who showed up today.

Wow, he changed his sweatshirt! Yesterday's work must have been really dirty! He usually wears the same clothes all weekend when he's in the garage. :)

Erik knew he would be in the pictures today! :)

Thanks again Kelly - for everything. Great to see everyone again and to meet some folks I hadn't yet.

Wish I could have participated longer last night and today, but my wife came down with strep throat, so I have been full time dad and kinda nurse today - which is fun too, just lacks beer and grease :)

Looking forward to the next wrenching weekend. Looking forward, even more, to following around the the rigs at the next event!

Yes, thanks Kelly it was great! Didn't work on my own, but got to help on some front axle rebuilds which will definately help me out when I am ready to do my own.:wrench:

A HUGE thanks to Kelly and his family for opening up their home and shop to everyone. Your place is beautiful and the hospitality is 2nd to none. It was a great and productive weekend.

Also a big thanks to Scott for cooking, it was delicious. A wrenching weekend full of eating and drinking like kings!

I"M tired.. Watching ROb weld on my tub all weekend wore me out. actually was one of the best productive weekends i've ever had and one of the best wrenching weekends.. BUT I still remember pulling an all nighter building a bumper for Bob's mini and catching my shorts on fire.. DIdnt' do that this weekend but burned thru my gloves more than once..

Thanks again VERY MUCH to everyone.. Awesome place. Colin and I almost got shot due to not calling prior to arrival at the house..

AMAZING food and drink.. Rech made an appearance.. Kinda like a rock star celebrity.. Just arrives out of nowhere then just vanishes..
Rob has a darn cool spotwelder. hadn't used one of those since high school.. Now I know why! They're heavy! But practical.. Quarter panel and floor fixed on pass side of 45 tub.. WIll get pics from Kelly and get build thread going I promise.

Thank you!!!!

Thanks guys so much for all your help! It was a pleasure to meet each one of you! No problem on cooking, that is the easy part. I had a blast! Oh, and my ABS shutter is GONE! However the ABS light is on now. I am sure it is a minor adjustment. Once again hated to leave so early. New wife/mother is very demanding since having our newborn 3 weeks ago. Can't wait to do it again!

Reset the Check engine light should clear it. I think on the 93 it was a paperclip thing, not positive. we should have looked to see if you had OBDII or OBD1.. OBD1 readers if needed were way cheap. but i recall older cruisers from the FJ62-94 FZJ's had the thing under the hood you jump with a paperclip but not positive. BUT it also might tell you one sensor is not working or something. so you might not have ABS right now.

We need more pictures Kelly! Pretty sure he's working on his honey-do list right now. Mentioned something about "rocking" the house.. And i think that meant real rock mounted on the side of the house by the s'More firepit..

Thanks to everyone for a great time, especially...

Kelly and family - Thanks for hosting the event. Beautiful homestead and your shop is fantastic. You and your wife really went all out to make us feel welcome. I appreciate you taking so much time to guide and help on my axle rebuild, not to mention coordinating the grease and offering your Marlin seals.

Colin - Thanks for all of your help on the axle rebuild, from the fabrication of the snap ring separator to all of the work putting everything back together.

Scott - Thanks for cooking, we did eat like kings!! I enjoyed your spread more than the fancy Easter brunch we had today. I also appreciate you offering up the rotors, they were a big help.

Erik - As always, thanks for keeping an eye over everyone's projects and offering guidance before we got too far in the weeds. The parts washer was a huge help with the axle rebuild and it was nice to have a ready supply of gear oil.

Rob - Thanks to you as well for advice and guidance, it's much appreciated every time.

Tim - Thanks for the help on the disassembly of my axle. It was a great help to get off to such a quick start.

Jamie - I look forward to spending more time talking cruisers at our boys scout events.

Every time I participate in a TAC event, I always leave with the saying 'they've forgotten more..." stuck in my head. It's humbling to see you guys work.

I had a great time yesterday and got a truck that's been sitting in my garage since last summer back on the road. Can't wait 'til next time.

Rick
