wrenching weekend

Thought I might throw up a wrenching weekend on the 22nd and 23rd of April at my place. I am on the west side of KC, out by Shawnee Mission Park.

I know we have at least two front axle rebuilds that will be ready to do if anyone wants to learn and get their hands dirty.


I have lots of concrete to work on, room in the garage for two or three rigs, music, and the rumor is that you can find a cold one. I have a decent tool assortment, no post lift, but welders (tig and mig) plasma cutter, etc.


If anyone is interested, we have discussed throwing a log on the fire in the evening, grilling up dinner and seeing where it goes from there. If the weather is good, maybe even camp outside with the family.

I should add this will be Easter weekend, so if there is interest, we can add some egg coloring and other crafts for the kids. We have plenty of woods to explore, rope swings, and other adventures to have.

Doh, I was in until I realized it was Easter weekend, we are taking Fiona on her first road trip to the in laws. I really want to attend one, so I can feel confident wrenching on my LC.

in all honesty we're very family oriented a few of us just like beer and i know if i have more than 3 of kelly's beers i'm not driving cause he brews his own. we're not the rowdy hey hold my beer and watch this crew.. well. chris is..

I concur on the family oriented... that is what life is about.

I should add that anyone is welcome to come just for the evening fire, cook a hotdog, make some smores, and share in some fellowship....

I am taking Friday off, so earlier the better.

I'm gonna leave the men folk to grunt, drink beer & fix stuff & I'm gonna find myself something else to do that Saturday. I may stop by Friday after work since my office is apparently 5 minutes away, but I'd prefer to let Erik have some man time without the estrogen around. He definitely deserves it.

Well Kelly, now that is a damn fine idea! I was just thinking that you guys would like to have a guys weekend, wrenching, drinking, burping & farting. Erik deserves some guy time so I need to recruit some of my other women folk & have a girls night out at the boats.
