Either way, you can see that thing has been used a lot. Look at the scoring on the adapter where it would grab. Is it machined like that or is it worn from use?
Score marks I believe. Away from home now... waiting to do now twice weekly cov19 swab at work. Coworkers kids in her car behind me.. parking lot babysitting at its best.

Just gotta share my tool case, full of chisels and planes etc. that I inherited from my great grandfather, who was an incredible woodcarver. Old tools rule.

That’s a beautiful cabinet and array of tools. Happy to say I actually have a bunch of those.... minus the violin. I do tho have a 50’s acoustic guitar!

I tried making a violin, once, but found it too finicky, so I moved on to guitars and mandolins. Haven't done much in the past several years, but have built around 15 acoustic instruments of various types. Strictly a hobbyist though.
I went to school for luthery. But I wound up making drums.

What about these? Who can tell me about them?

the guys above pretty much nailed it. the crank handle is actually called a brace. the drill bit is as said, adjustable for hole diameter. if the collet on the brace is 4 jaw that drill bit is for it. n yes, the right angle drill thing is just that, a right angle adapter for limited working space. why not chuck it up in a pneumatic drill, just don't go balls out on the throttle

I have used that little pedestal wheel for so many things, had to laugh when I saw that in your first few pictures of your newly acquired loot. I have three braces and the old wood bits, funny how much I love to use them.
The motor is an old one too, it sits on a block of wood with a hinge to provide the "correct" tension.

Thank you for that pix! I was excited when he gave me a couple motors too because I had watched a video on how to build a belt sander. Tho it looks way more economical and cost effective to just buy a 1 by 5 combo.

But why would YOU do that?

SST for fixing the oil galley plug 😉

Anxiety?!?
Yeah someone else is touching her! I told the kid who drive her in, reverse is below first. He kinda thought about that for a minute. My emblem is MIA right now...

Someone else finally working on her truck prolly. Happens to me too.
I almost bought a tire mounting and balancing set up so I wouldn’t have to drop my truck off. Only reason I didn’t is because I have nowhere to store the tools.

This is one of the more fun moments of taking mine for tires, alignments, inspections, etc.. The quick training session for the tech on how to drive it. Instant confidence builder. ;)

Woot!
