For some reason, I can't post pictures anymore - is there a secret handshake or something?

According to the moderator, you have to disable Flash in your browser to post pictures, so now every other web page asks me if I want to enable flash and won't display a lot of content. Lame. I can't believe Mud can't figure this out.

Ok, able to post pictures now. Here is the quick progress shot. The old jute is a major PITA. What you see left of the finished panels is close to what I am gluing the FatMat onto, there is just no way to scrap this off. At first I was concerned, but the old glue is actually providing a porous surface that the black tar on the FatMat sticks to like nothing I've seen. Half is also just stuck to metal. We shall see how this all works out, but I'm looking forward to having this part finished.

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while but made some good progress on my resto recently (have had wayyyyy to many projects go through the garage but all fun). I'm almost finished with the interior except for the door panels (they are cleaned, wiring reinstalled and looking to do vapor barriers this week. Windshield was a PITA, but got it in, Headliner looks great, lots of trimming but SOR quality was there. Still looking for rear carpet - anyone try the one on rockauto.com? i'm surprised to see one available.

here is the most recent pics.

This is what's been butting out the Cruiser in the garage. Nissan Pao (JDM RHD) was for my wife, full engine and trans refresh and the Volkswagen is a "barn find" with some oil leaks mostly from sitting around.

Onto the motor now. Over the past few months I've been gathering up parts for a refresh and reseal. Rebuild the radiator (it's new basically, all copper etc.), water pump, gasket set, clutch fan, thermostat etc. I had a very bad leak behind the timing cover and when I removed the cam to get behind it I found a little surprise - the cam bearings look like s***....pitted and worn. Lot of build up inside the motor too, like sludge. I have now sat on it for about a month (super busy in life and work) and have decided to pull the motor to clean up and see what's what. I was hoping not to have to rebuild much, but at this stage I'm just thinking pull it, clean it up really well and see if I can do the basics like cam bearings, head rebuild (including the oil passage plug) and inspect the bores/main bearings). Anyone have recommendations for a good machine shop in the Lower Mainland that has done Toyota work before?

Ok, that was a easy....not. Thinking of desmogging while I am at it. Thoughts? Sure would be nice to get extra room in there and simplify the set up somewhat.

Back from the machine shop. I ended up going 20 over, new bearings all around, head rebuilt and new exhaust valves etc. Will be slowly putiing this back together over the next few weeks. Front axle refresh also going on.
