I'm not hurting as badly as those of you awaiting turbo orders. I'm in for only a bushing press kit for $300 (including shipping). My frustration is increased because I decided to do all the bushings and do it right. So I bought all the bushings and hardware and the Harbor Freight 20-ton press, and they've been sitting in my garage since the beginning of July. August is my least busy time of the year, and I was really looking forward to a few days of working on the truck and then taking it out for some long test-loops in the mountains (east coast variants of mountains anyway). The delay at Wits End has denied me one of the things I really enjoy doing, and I'm reminded of it every time I squeeze past the press in the garage.

As others have said, do a charge back. Don’t let it go past the required days to do one (usually 60 days depending on the card). I also ordered a bushing press kit back in July. I even got a shipping confirmation a few days after the order. It’s still pending pick up from July 13th as of today. I emailed him and got a response with a story of how 3 other bushing press kits were shipped then lost in the mail and that he’s had trouble with his local post office because of a strike (?) and he would look into it. I even googled if any postal workers were striking in Oregon and couldn’t find anything recent so I was a little suspicious. I just found it odd that 3 of those could get lost at the same time. Possible but I didn’t buy it personally. I emailed two more times after that and never got a response so I filed a charge back with CC company. It’s unfortunate, I really would’ve preferred to get the press kit.

Do the charge back because getting the bushing kit is highly unlikely. I ordered a set in February that were scheduled to ship at the end of February. Couple of weeks went by and the order remained unfilled. I contacted Wits End and the reason for the delay was this, "The box of 60mm that I got in from my machinist were all damaged from shipping. I had him run another batch and is nearing completion." At the time I gave it little thought. Followup messages went unanswered and I finally did a charge back. Upon later rereading the message from WE left me wondering how these solid metal bushing presses that can withstand tons of pressure were damaged in shipping.

Complete BS on his behalf.

Right, during shipping a milling machine and lathe had their ways with the bushing press tooling🙄

Just my two cents. I recently purchased from Wit's end before I read all of this. I put in my charge back the minute he started with the excuses. I got partial order, which just happened to be something he had picked up from his local Toyota dealer.

The "strike" he was talking about was UPS and it didn't happen. I work in the shipping industry and he's literally full of it. If you do not have a pickup or "induction" scan from a USPS employee at his site or from a USPS location (post office) then it hasn't gone out. He uses big commerce's feature to create USPS shipments and it automatically updates your accounts.

I'm 100% positive this dude was cool at some point but today, he's got a lot of family debt, maybe drugs, and he's unable to keep up. The thing I've seen from this community and myself is that if he just communicated and honestly gave back money everyone would be cool and would support him. If, between covid and family stuff he couldn't return the money for the turbos and he's behind, I know most would have supported him.

taking cash exchanges through non official credit card payment methods, "friends and family" and cashapp, etc, to buy a "place in line"..... wish I had seen this all earlier. His prices were good and I wish I could support his business.

Hopefully you got your money back? I totally agree with ya! He once was a trusted and beloved vendor on here. Now he's enemy # 1. For good reason! 100% scum bag!

p.s. btw... I ordered a power steering cooler and hose kit from him last December! Still no parts or a single response on multiple platforms. I've accepted the fact that I'll never probably receive my parts or money. I'm only out $ 270. I'll survive. I feel bad for the guys that are out $6,000 ! I would be at his shop knocking on the door and having a chat with Joey.

as far as I can tell, WE is not an LLC. He has an old expired California LLC that is on the WE website, I'm too lazy to look it up. It appears they are running as a partnership, with no corporate entity. It really doesn't matter at this point, corp or not.

We should keep the speculation to a minimum e.g. drug use, which there is no evidence of.

Until Joey provides some sort of honest communication, which he has had many opportunities to do, the door for speculation is left wide open and people are free to speculate however they want.

That's good for you guys, if he's not operating under an LLC it means he can't hide behind it. You guys can go after everything he has...
