what a day. got to reassemble the rear seat back and reinstall it, but everything else is in. Broke a throttle pedal pad bolt and stripped one of the two dash riser bolts. There was alot of cutting, and a bit of cussing. I am not upset about the final product, but could do the next one better. Waiting till AUGUST is a good idea, as is setting up boxes to fake the floorboard and let the mats relax into their intended shape in the sun for a few days. Even with alot of heat, some of these creases will prolly take years to settle out, but all in all, the wife said it looked good, and only a few of us will see my phlubups. A guy could do well to remove the airbox and blower, steering column and rear heater. even if the end product were cut to allow removal of mats without removal of utilities, having the firewall clear and flat would have made cutting to shape alot easier. After I get the seat rebuilt and installed, I'll upload the rest of the pics. hope this helps.

So when will these "kits" be available...? Doesn't Fresno get hot enough soon for easier fitting
??

Kits are available, pm @reevesci. As for easier fitting, I had the cab up to 115 yesterday...hopefully after a few sun baked 1114 degree days in summer some of the wrinkles come out.

Pics finally added for the rest of the install in my place-holders. It was a ton of work. The wife loves it. I think the next one could be better. Wrinkles will come out for the most part. and the best part is it is already protecting my floorboards from water! I plan to make floor mats as well as a trans hump mat, which will allow me to make a large-ish cut-out for the tunnel hatch, cover it over with a purpose built mat, and never have to monkey with shifter boots and bolts ever again! but that is for another thread. anyone with questions feel free to ask. My best advice is do it in summer if you can help it, and don't need to rely on your rig as sole means of transport; allow yourself time to take time to use time. HTH

Wrinkles will come out for the most part.

Wrinkles may or may not come out. I've had mine in since mid-summer and wrinkles remain. I'm thinking about hitting the wrinkles with a heat gun to see if I can reshape the vinyl to remove wrinkles and for better fitment.

I'm learning to love them...function over fashion, right?

Amen, Brother Jim!

if you can wait till it gets HOT, it will be easier...at least after stripping the interior, lay out the vinyl for a day or so in the cab with the windows up, sitting in the sun. cut everything fatter than you think and slowly trim it down.

I have had it laying out on the pool table for about 2 weeks. I will lay it out in the sun, it's gonna be around 75-80 here.
Thanks again!

Lambcrusher,

See what happens when you move up to a 60. 55s didn't need no stinking carpet! :) Did a good job on it Man!

THANK YOU, R!!! it came out ok for a first timer...still think it coulda been done even better, but that's hindsight kickin in...and after all, it is pretty effing cool:). the boss really digs it no matter how much I badmouth the installer, which is really the most important thing. I do need to do the floormats; or get off the pot and pony up for them, cause I want these to last like the oem mats I got in the pig. but dang it tho, more needs MOAR!!!- now the dents are gunna hafta come out.. at least most of the rubber is still around for these pot belly pigletts, right?
