$300, GFY! He has no idea! I'd give a lot more just so I could roll on to 500,000 !
It will only cost you $6,666.6666 to drive that far. 40,0000 mi divided by 13.5 average = 2,962.96296 gal of gas at $2.25 per gal.

I for the 252,000 miles I have put on the 80 it used 18,666.67 gallons gas with fuel cost of $49,840.00 with an average of $2.62 per gal over the 15 years I have owned the 80

Last week reached 500000 km with the 1hd-ft and still going like a rocket:clap:

Was your rig done? Still running good right?

It was running better than it has in years. I started using 100% ethanol free gasoline and that smoothed out the slight rough idle it sometimes would have. Gas mileage was up a mile or two too.
I am sure it would of made it to AK and back again if I took it.
Did the 9 th emissions tests fail and the driver door handle broke off at testing station. That was enough for me to sell it... and that I didn't have any money to buy a vehicle when I get up to AK next month. Now I can buy a car/truck/van instead of buying a bicycle with spiked tires...

My son is driving it now at college so odometer isn't rolling quite as fast.

The 4th out of 5 with over 300k divine intervened miles.

Just bought a 97 40th from the second owner. 353k and nothing has been done to it except oil changes, an alternator, some EGR work, and a master cylinder. Original axle is just barely starting to click. Oil pump seal was leaking profusely and POs mechanic said he couldn't get the crank bolt loose ...we will see what the starter bump trick says about that. Great shape- only ding is in the tailgate. Clearcoat fading slightly but the vehicle is a testament to the quality of the 80 series! Non locked unfortunately. Definitely ready for some baselining!

Damn, I’m only at 375k :(

No kidding. And I'm really dragging my feet at a paltry 303K. I feel ashamed.

I don't drive the 80 much now that I am retired...so I'll probably be dead before getting it anywhere near 400K.

Guess I'll leave it to my Daughter to achieve that goal.
