Hey all, long time lurker, finally crossed over.

I have a '97 40th, with 322,500. Daily driver. I just got in an accident. I don't think insurance is going to fix it.

I was up to using a quart of oil every 900 miles or so.

Wondering now about finding another or moving on to 4Runner or a 200.

I am proud to say I bought a 1996 80 brand new and have been driving daily since. Currently 482k going strong going to hit 500 next spring. From PA to WV and ME and NH golf trips skiing trips you name it. Even been to the MASTERS in this extremely reliable vehicle. Friends envy aside, some repairs necessary, no regrets.

My 80 is almost at 654 k km's on it's original 1hz motor. 3/92 build.

Apart from adjusting valves, replacing injector seals...and injectors while I was there, and the front crank pulley, the motor hasn’t been touched. Transmission is the same story.

420! That is a framer. Shutterfly canvas wall hanger ! We post pics and frame pictures of engine hours on our boats when we hit 420. Great to see I will get there on our 97 which only has 275k. She looks like 75k and get told that all the time.
