Who has taken their 100 on the Rubicon?

Anyone want to revive this debate? It's been a few years now. 100s are more built up, cheaper and wheeled more. Have any other 100s completed the Rubicon trail since Shotts left?

If 80s and nearly stock preproduction FJ Cruisers and 2010 4runner trails could do it, I'd think a triple locked, armored, 100 on 35MTs could also do it with a lot of work and not too much drama.

my thoughts exactly, they took 2 2010 trail edition 4runners through there with minimul damage, a dialed in 100 should get right through...

Shottttzzzzz never did it......

I think the general consensus is the Rubicon trail has a lot more tight sections and parts better suited for shorter wheel base vehicles. I'm sure you could do it in a 100 but will likely suffer some damage or body damage. The main limiting factor of the 100's are their size and this becomes a lot more apparent on tight trails. That said; I'm sure a fully decked out 100 could do it with good spotting and experienced river...Experienced trail driving goes a long way too obviously...

I'm raffling off two passenger seats for next year's Rubithon...you are welcome buy some tickets...Barring nothing big comes up, I will be dragging the minivan through this trail....

You might have missed the other posts. Moderate driving skills are needed. You'd better let me drive and buy your own raffle ticket for one of those spare seats. I'll bring the Kraken.

Shottttzzzzz never did it......

I wheeled with Shotts in Moab a few years back.
My opinion is that he never will run the Rubicon in his 100.

And he is/was full of crap.

I'm driving bluecruisers truck, so the raffle ticket is a backseater, but still a decent spot. I don't wheel my clean truck, and he doesn't know how to wheel his scratched up one.
We're considering pulling jonharis' trailer through too....... With Jonathan trailer surfing on top of it like teen wolf. It's gonna be crazy.

I think I posted before, it would be work driving a 100 through the Rubicon. I wheel to have fun.

The Rubicon in my FJ40 is fun.

Our 100 is a joy to take to Saline Valley, that trip would suck in my FJ40.

About the only reason I can see to take a 100 through the Rubicon is bragging rights.

I'd want to be sure I was in front of said 100 on the Rubi...and not behind said 100 :D

Ha! I'm gonna mount a live feed go pro so you guys can live the experience with me...I may open a PayPal acct too for funding straight body panels too....I could put the third row back in too...then I'd have 5-6 seats available...I know Stan is small..so maybe more....this is going to be awesome....
