Got a sweet set of vintage IPF's on Ebay. Also got some Toyota fog covers. I got around to putting them on yesterday.

Also got some other odd & ends done. New hood bump stops, Hitch Final installed, Stereo upgraded as well as some other small details. Getting redy for a full tune-up, engine detail and power steering pump rebuild.
Man, I love this truck!

My thoughts exactly! Just sold em'. I like it how it sits. Now time to save up for the H55!

Not much new to report. Been collecting some parts. Some necessary, some not. Truly addicted to my truck and thoroughly enjoying bringing it back to life. Getting ready to do the tune up and possibly desmog. I just ordered the stuff from Jim C. So I'll be ready to go if the desire strikes!

Bucket of parts awaiting install!

A shot from the other night.

Looks great man! I wish I had that clean of a rig to start with. Carpet turned out really nice. I've read complaints of poor fitting. Did you have any trouble? Would you recommend it?

It went in pretty easy. It don't fit 100% like factory. A little loose around the seat brackets and door edges but it's not really noticible unless you look close. Your passengers probably won't even notice. I highly recommend this carpet kit. The quality and feel of the carpet it top notch & honestly fit is probably the best you'll get out of an aftermarket kit.

Keeping it! I just put it on not long ago. I have no need for a heavy ARB. Plus lots of people are running the ARB. I like mine, it's different.

It's cool to see you having so much fun with your rig man! Keep it up. Actually, I'm kinda glad you sold the 62, because now you have one with the proper headlights! I'm askin for it...

Started the clean-up/tune up today. Prompted by a Master Cylinder failure. Also looked and found the typical floor board rust on the driver's side. Luckily I had some POR-15 left over from another project. so I jumped right on it. Rust wasn't bad, but it was there. Hit it with the wire wheel and the POR-15. Should be good to go!

Lots of hard work to bring that rig back to 'looking sharp' - congrats! I like the color, too.

I caved the other night and ordered a new P/S pump from cruiserparts. They had the best price I could find at $399. I Hated to spend the $ but after reading of all the failed attempts here, I saw it best to go new. I have the rebuild kit I bought, I just really wanted to only do this job one time and know it would last. I also pulled off the M/C and went to put on the new reman one I ordered from Napa. Well…It did not come with a reservoir. I looked into swapping out with mine, but mine looks brittle and questionable at best. So I took the one I bought back to Napa and added one to my P/S order. I also ordered a new side cover gasket, oil pan gasket, as those look a little moist and in need of attention while I'm in there. Now I sit back and wait on the car part fairy to show up. It gives me some time to clean, clean, clean. I repainted the air cleaner assembly and scrubbed 27 years of grime off the valve cover. it is nice to see it shine!
Here is what that old Master looked like. Yep…Think it was time for a replacement.

If that was the best price you could find you were not looking hard enough.

;)

Spent the past few days degreasing the head. Man, what a job! This is as good as it's going to get. Also put in the new NGK's. Made sure they were gapped properly first. Gotta be better than those AC Delcos that I pulled out!

Beautiful 62! I'm picking up one in that same 2 tone up this weekend!

For as dirty as your new ride was, she sure cleaned up real nice!

Been going at it! I had a holdup with thanksgiving holiday. Also a snag with cruiser parts.net It took them 19 days to ship my order, When it shipped, they shipped to the wrong address. When it finally got here today, they had shipped the wrong master cylinder :(
Seems they are making it right though. They shipped me out a new one 2nd day air this afternoon!
Got my Power steering pump though!! Costly, but now that it's here I'm super stoked!
I ordered my new silicone vaccuum line from McMasterCarr and they arrived today as well. I now have a pile of parts and stuff is coming off the Cruiser left and right. Seems like I'll never have it back together!
Baby steps… I got the radiator out, distributor out, and side cover off. Man that gasket is brittle and nasty. Game plan is to scrape the old gasket, finnish cleaning up that side of the block, paint and re-install side cover and try to get that side of the engine bay buttoned back up for the most part before I move on to the PSP and dreaded desmog…

Something wrong here…

Shiny & New :)

My garage

Side Cover Off!

Unearthed This :)

Faceless

Radiator out! Where does all this go??

PSP Nastiness be gone!

Cruiserparts came through with the correct M/C. They paid the 2nd day shipping and sent me a prepaid return label for the old one. Nice when customer service does what they are there for!

I removed the hood to have better access and more light.
Also got the side cover cleaned and painted up.

Started on the power steering pump. Two days left me with power steering pump still attached and bolt nice and rounded off. I tried everything I could, but bolt will not budge. Ended up removing bracket and all and I will get it out on the bench. Also got the smog pump off too. Now I can start cleaning up this side of the motor. I will definetly be notching the bracket before I reinstall the new pump.

Dreaded bolt

Lots of working room now!

Going to be needing new PS hoses. The list never ends it seams!!
