I could not find it!

I remember linking to it: Anyone use the FJ55 Carpet Kits ?

Link comes up dead...

Maybe someone nuc'd the thread?

Thanks for trying. Why would the thread get nuc'd?

Do you or anyone else have pictures and or tips on installing the carpet kit? I layed mine out last night and honestly feel a little unsure of how to do this.

Maybe just maybe he stopped making it?

@dnp was considering having it made.
I can't see deleting a thread because he's not making them. I looked at this thread a while back, people had pictures of their installation and tips. It would be really nice to reference this information. Isn't that why we have tech?

I've talked with the mfr. about carpet / vinyl for the 55, but they're unsure about the size of the market (obviously, they have to make a return on their investment in molds, etc.) I guess I should have polled the forum, but if enough of you say you want it, I'm pretty sure we can get them to make it.

Just let me know.

How many orders would you need to make it worthwhile?
That's a good question. They just want to make sure there's "enough" buyers out there. When I went to them with the 60/62 project, they were unsure; however, when I directed them to the MUD 6x section, they saw the opportunity and were willing to take the chance.......I think mainly because people were really starting to restore them more. With the 55, we'd have to overcome the appearance that most people just want to drive them like they are. Not to mention the fewer number of 55s.

All that's to say: I'm not sure what number it'd take. The more people saying "I'm interested," the better.

Just about done with the carpet and scuff plate installation. Took longer than I thought it would, but I'm happy with the results. I picked up these rubber mats off Amazon and I'm very pleased with the fit, both front and back. Decided not to run the seat belts through the rubber mats for now, hardly anyone will be riding back there anyway.
