I see you are new in these parts. Why don't you make a "howdy" thread, and tell us a little about yourself, and that Trekker. Those Trekkers are way cool and we really like seeing lots of pics. We don't get many of your kind around here, though the Gen1 trucks seem to be making a resurgence.

Quick 1000 mile road trip to pick up some “spare parts”. I managed to find a complete 3L out of a Hiace for sale, and very close to my small home town in Colorado no less! After calculating how much a rebuild would cost, being able to put a spare engine in the shed for less than I would pay for a Chinese cylinder head seemed like a no-brainer

The motor in the truck has a 2lte turbo set up on it, but the one I bought is bone stock NA. Agree that the old NA diesels are downright dangerous on our American freeways.

Down to NW Arkansas. Biking got rained out so I took it on what turned out to be a 100 mile loop up into SW Missouri and back down to NWA. Then packed up and drove back to KC.
