No LRs for me, got in on a group buy for ICON tubular ones. I painted up the bare spots on mine first though, so hopefully no rust like Jason and Brad.
s

You painted the uniballs?
That is where they were having rust at. Well that and the rings surrounding them.

How the heck are you getting over 20 MPG in his 2WD?? My wife's has never gotten over 18 that I know of.......

Drive slower on the interstate and take off slower.:p
I routinely got 22-23mpg in my FJ when it was stock on the highway.

Before i sold it, i took a trip to Dallas in it.
Had stock sized all terrains, level lift, super charger, intake and exhaust.
Got 19.5mpg there and back.

The actual uniball rusted too?
I basically painted everything else on the inside. The most obvious thing was some unpainted areas of the actual arms themselves, pretty pour QA/QC

It was the surrounding ring of the uniball. The uniball should stay rust free as it is rubbing. Grease would work but it would attract more grit and that grit might get between the ball and the seal.

installed some bushings into the space on the 80's driver's side rear shock where the remains of crap had fallen out on Wednesday

I just got an email about my LED lights I ordered from PFran. The map lights are backordered, but the 400 lumen reverse lights and the dome and cargo lamps are on the way.

This weekend, she gets a bath in a big way. Hopefully Daniel will be motivated to help.

I will help, and do you feel like kncking out thast little bit of welding?

That rear shock install/removal is a PITA if those upper bolts are rusted, trust me.

Dropped the 100 off on Monday at the gear shop to take a look at the rear ARB. I will be calling tomorrow to hassle them into working on it, as that seems to be what it takes to get them to work.
My dads jeep Grand Cherokee (same year as the 100) feels in far worse condition with 30K fewer miles on it.

Cool, thanks. I'd be happy to do some welding too. Want to get together this weekend sometime?

I never understood why some shops have to be "talked into" doing work for someone. It's not like you aren't going to pay them.

Saturday or sunday?

Brad, Which day would be better for you? Sunday?
