why didn't you get the amber filter Bowen?

Haven't looked into filters yet. I want to see if the Rigid covers will fit my lightbar and, after talking with Layton I'll probably just get a clear cover for it. He said he lost a good amount of light output because of his Amber filter

I was going for a ginger joke ;)

regardless, looks good, I'm curious to see what you think after you hook it up as there are a few different distributers of the knock off bars, I haven't decided which one to go with

I was very surprised at the quality of this bar. I think I have the wiring figured out so I'm going to try and tackle that this weekend. Once I get it all hooked up I'll get some output pics for ya

Ha! It runs. As far as the others....

dontcha wanna?

oh...and i put my tube doors back on for the weekend.

Michael just saw you driving by on Highland - he was at the light on Staring

yeah well it didn't help that the kit i bought was missing hardware and we had to make a million trips to auto zone, and the engine mount bolt wouldn't go back in so we had to tap it, and we kept dropping the damn bolts into the abyss, and my winch cables wouldnt fit on my new battery so i had to drill those out. i lost a 12mm socket last night after it fell in the engine bay somewhere.

Always takes longer than expected. Now that you got that box of assorted bolts/nuts/washers, no more auto zones trips should be necessary.

Did you find that battery J-hook think i was telling you about?

why didn't you get the amber filter Bowen?

I had the amber ones on my Rigid bar. I had bought them mainly to protect the lens and for dusty environments. The light output was severely reduced by the amber lens. Wish they made a yellow filter instead.

Ever thought about getting a clear one and having a strip of tent put on it? They make all kinds of colors.

dontcha wanna?

I can already see a side pull, cutting the wire because it's rubbing on the shackle mount. At least from the pics. I saw it cut through one on a jeep by just rubbing on it.

Thanks Cody Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

I don't see a problem it would have to be a hell of. Side pull to even touch it.

dontcha wanna?

that hoop is pretty far in front the fair lead. Then again rubbing on the tube probably wouldn't be a big deal. I don't know much about synthetic though.

we took the 80 on a drive to Houma House and Avery Island :steer:

oh, and Michael waxed it yesterday :flamingo:

Sorry Mike to worry you, It was on a J**@ So it might have been just that, but it rubbed on it a little, then the back in slid such that it made the front at a greater angle with the tree, and Bang, the cable cut. So we tied it back, then redid the pull from a different angle, and it rubbed on it this time, but didn't cut. Once the Jeep was free, we then looked at it, and where it "rubbed" was all freyed and useless.. And This was the first pull with the brand New synthetic stuff. and first run with the bumper.. :D And it was about 1/2 way down the line too, so the whole thiing is RUINED...Now His shackle mounts are on the outside of the tube. :D

Thanks
Cody
