With the warm weather and Jess off work this weekend, I'm gonna get some garage play time! You're all welcome to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. :wrench::)

Alas, too beautiful of a day to spend it in the garage.

But tomorrow...

A mix of new and used parts, some for the 60 and some for the 100.

Did get some garage time in this evening:

- Oil Change
- Air Filter (also cleaned out the air box - very dirty)
- Fluid check and fill
- Installed new passenger side indicator light
- TEQ decal application

Looks like you got the intake, MAF, and ecu for the vorteq. How's it coming along?

I have this collecting dust in the garage. It's unused and generic, 3" opening, but if you want to run it (even temporarily) on the 60, it's yours.

Awesome man, thanks!

Bought the ECU off ebay for cheap. It's the right setup for my wiring harness, but found out after purchase that some numbers need to match up. Not sure if these do. ??? If nothing else, I'll be able to send it in as a "core" for a new one if I go that way. Still debating on buying a wiring harness vs. doing it myself (I've found some interesting DIY harness info on line lately). Need to send an email to 150Scans / Painless / Howell and see what they come back with.

As for the air flow stuff, I haven't had a ton of time to fiddle with it yet. From a quick fitting, it looks like the stock Vortec airbox will snug up nicely next to the inner fender. Just have to figure out how to get some nice cool, dust free air into the system ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Snorkel-for-TOYOTA-Landcruiser ). :grinpimp:

Guess which wheel has been the spare for the last few months:

Finally started burning in the new roll cage into the 4runner. Sucks when you have to modify a whats supposed to be a "kit" for your make and model......

Got the head on the 3FE today. Wanted to get more done, but it was just too cold in the garage.

One issue that I've run into: valve adjustment. I got the motor at TDC, using the time marks and but noting which valves were open. However, when I tried to get the valves into spec (I know the motor's cold, but just an inital adjustment), some of them could not not be adjusted far enough. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right. So if there's anyone that is familiar with doing this, I may need some help!

My near death experience. Momma was happy out 3 year old was not in the vehicle when this happened.

Who did you buy a kit from?
I'm not going to drag it out.
His cages work and fit great. I should have been a little more specific when I ordered it.
It'll work out fine in the end.

I wasn't looking to bash anyone. I wheeling a 2nd gen 4Runner for a long time, rolled it once and put a whole new body on it. I remember looking for cages and not finding any, or maybe I was just too cheap to buy one. Just curious.
