Knowing Marshall and his redneck inclinations I am going with one of the LS series V8's...... If he was smart he'd go with a 1HDT :grinpimp:

Yup, LSX of some varient gets my vote.
We will say a LS1 with LS3 cam and heads if we are being picky :D

all i know is once he figures out what not to do on his I may let him work on mine LOL

Squirrel?

must be the factory northen lights pinstripe pattern..... that or he was smokin em and busted out the pastels

yeah but that just cause it has rover parts on it :D
would make a sweet SEO mobile marketing device though

nothing if he does not sell the mighty 2f that is currently in it!

really? AWESOME!! i would like to put one of these in a scout 800. i've driven a couple of libertys with this engine, very cool.
the more i read, the less appealing a 4bt sounds. met a guy in charleston with a 4bt rat rod 32 truck which was cool but pretty vibrational.

he most likely had solid mounts and no damper on it.

A 4bt will feel quite a bit different with a fluid damper on it and a good set of fluid/jelly motor mounts.

To really get it down take it to a diesel shop and have them balance and blueprint the motor.... it will purr after that. Cummins do not balance 4BT's from the factory because they were made for generators and heavy equipment from the factory.

Adds a bit of cash to it but in the end you will have a simple mechanically injected diesel that will fun forever and is pretty easy to live with.

Just my 2 cents (now worth 1 cent)

Although I don't think you are actually doing a 2.8 VW marshall if you are you may want to consider waiting for the 3.0 V6 that is coming out in the 1500 Ram's and Jeep Grands later in the year.

240HP and 440 ft/lbs with 28 mpg highway in the Cherokee
