What kind of anti theft actions would be helpfull? (Update 06/06/2026)

I was thinking of:
-blocking the steering wheel and/or in combination with shifting pook
-blocking the battery in combination with alarm (as the bonnet is very accessible and I want only 1 remote control), although power on the radio would be needed after shutting down
-on a good place an hidden switch, (yeap, where would that be....😅😅)
-other thoughts?

UPDATE:
I received the Cruiser Cult anti theft harness.
I will combine this with the hidden switch and distance radio guided switch.

When I was trying my whipers, I had a short cut (PO made a mess of the wiring).
Now I first need to make a new wire to the starting relais for power.
And I need to check the starter motor as it is not working at all.

Do you park in a garage/shop? Do you have good insurance with an adequate replacement value?

If yes to both of those, look into hiding an AirTag or similar so you can find it if it gets stolen?

If no to those, definitely look into hiding an AirTag or similar so you can find it once it’s stolen.
 
Manual transmission deters like 90%. Hidden kill switches are easy. One on the ignition and one on the electric fuel pump. When I had an aux tank, I could switch the selector to an un used port. Some sort of lock on the clutch or brake pedal to prevent use. Line lock on the hydraulic brake line.

They can scan for air tags easy enough.

I don't take the key out of the ignition except to unlock the gas cap. I never lock the doors. Coat hanger is like 7 seconds to un lock the door threw the gasket or the kick vent.
 
I think Cruiser Cult sells a anti theft harness on their website. I've never dealt with them. Of course they don't disclose how it works. I would want something I can arm from the driver seat.
 
A 'hidden' switch is fairly obvious when they find it. I like the obvious switch. If you've got a couple external light switches, add one more going through the coil negative.

With it off, it'll crank and may even sputter. By the time they start to look for the reason it won't fire they've attracted attention.

its under the carport 10 meters from the house, and our dog hears everything

He lives in Europe. Almost everyone still knows how to drive manual (like most of the world outside America sadly), so that 3rd pedal isn't a great deterrent like in America.
