Washington Park in Portland?

And Neahkanie Mt overlooking Manzanita. That's a beautiful area. Great view from Hwy 101 on the mountain cliff, and Manzanita is a nice beach to walk. It's a lot less crowded than the beach areas to the north and south of it. One of the more underrated drives on the Oregon coast.

Bet you have a lot of looks in your fresh FJ40.

Wish I could have gone. Had to do some work on mine. Beautiful day, almost 72 degrees at my house. But it sure cooled down quick. Bet you were bundled up good going home.

painted the fenders doors and rear 1/4 panels
and spent about 5 hours on bondo removal (sometimes i hate my babys PO)

still looking for some soft top bows!

Installed a sentry autosafe on the tranny cover. It is bolted to the sheetmetal and tethered to the seat with the included cable. Not bad for $35 at Lowes.
I figure it's about as secure as anything in a convertible can be.

Don't mind the duct tape--I had to do some emergency modifications to get into 4WD after changing the rubber in my tcase crossmember.

Lolo Pass... nice. Take it all the way into Hood River?

What's next? Is the Barlow Road open? (On second thought, the east end has some nasty brush that might chew up that fresh paint.)

Thanks man :D

Drove the little jeep trail up to the wooden bridge up to the main road again, a bit of snow but nothing crazy.

However it was supposed to dump snow later that night, so I dunno what it is like now :D

would love to check out the barlow trail, is it open yet?
Paint has cured a month, should be ok, it will get scratched eventually :D

Auxillary tank door

Finished the auxillary gas filler plumbing. I bought a door I found on-line that came with a good hinge and that made the primary gas door look bad. Replacement bushings and pins are not available so I am using 5/32 dia nails and drip irrigation tubing to make replacement parts.

Also, put 5 patches in the driver side floor and did a lot of old fashioned heat and ball pen hammer work to straighten the wrinkles and stretched metal out. Some people hate mud, I hate rust!

That is awesome. I have a real respect for mods that look like they came from the factory. Nice job!
