Continuing On with my engine bay cleanup. I tackled the radiator, shroud, fan, and heater fan. Also a bit of simple green and elbow grease on 50 year old grime.

Thanks. It's a nice way to spend some
time working on the cruisers without shelling out $$$ during this time of year. Degreaser, sandpaper, a sh*tload of scrubbing and some engine enamel is all you need!

Yesterday i gave the 40 a good service:

• Oil and filter change
• new leads, distributor cap, plugs
• new diff and gearbox oils

Also took the 40 to see a friend of the father in laws - looks like stripping and painting will begin in late January.

Big week for me... Picked up my Metaltech cage, Real Steel bows and frame from the powder coater.

Installed my 4+ sliders, very impressed with these. VERY HEAVY DUTY and an awesome vendor! (Metaltech is great also)

Changed bearings and cleaned up my full floating axle. And rebuilt my instrument cluster. LED bulbs and rebuilt odometer. I love long holiday weekends. What to do tomorrow?

My glove box door wire cable has been getting more and more frayed. Replaced it with parachord.

Also received my oil for doing a oil change on my 2f. Its 130 dollars for 2 gallons. I called the company and talked to the owner though and he gave me a killer deal if I was able to try it. He gave it to me for less than half price and he paid for the 34 dollar shipping hoping I would like the oil. This oil has moly in it and it is synthetic so it should last a long time in the 40. Previously I added moly to my 4runner oil when I changed it and it seems to run smoother. Mercedes also uses moly in their factory engine oil.
