Thanks!
No, the spare is factory grey. I had to see the color next to the Dune Beige 416 before committing to the color on a 4 wheels. The jury is still out... Black steelies or grey???

Tested out my new Trollhole carb with a drive up the hill to my folks house at 8,500ft. It is the single best purchase I have made for the ole' girl!!

replacing all tire rod end, center arm, oem stabilizer. and put in Trollholecarb![]()
No $$$ = no new parts for Big Blue. But I am going to complete the trifecta of visiting SOR, Man-a-Fre and TLC all in one day. By then I just might be $50,000 in the hole. Wish me
luck
Thanks!

Get yourself a set of OEM wheels. Ship them to Stockton Wheel in CA and ask them to turn them into 16x8 with whatever back spacing you require.
Pay them $150ish (last I checked) per wheel plus return shipping and then be VERY patient.
Pierps said:Thanks! I've read about the approach of widening the stock steelies... but what interests me the most about "40's Rock's" approach is that he relocated the centers of stock steelies into donor barrels of the required size.
This seems like a more elegant (and potentially cost-effective) approach, but I'd need to find out more about it before drawing that conclusion.
The relocating of centers into donor barrels is the most common way the "widen" steel wheels. The nice thing about Stockton is that they can take centers from a 15" wheel and make them work in a 16" barrel.
