After 12 years of working on FJ40s, I am convinced Toyota engineered them for people with little hands ;)

Have you met many Japanese people?

Very serious when I say that his small hands have came in very handy already when working on any of our Cruisers LOL

Ummm, this sounds like a trick question...

Not at all.

All of my Japanese friends and acquaintances (admittedly, not a huge number) are shorter than I am by a fair bit, and have proportionally smaller hands also.

Thank you. I will remember this next time I get my right hand trapped inside the dash AGAIN

That was how I felt when I rebuilt the transfer case. When I did I really appreciated the split case.

I have worked at 2 nukes in Japan and 1 steel mill on turbines and yes they are small people. I could be seen from a long way away at 6'-3".

If you have ever attempted to put the door hinges back on in a '66 then you know how true this statement is!

After stripping the paint off the scuttle, there is a fair amount of surface rust (but so far no holes).
Rather than grind it off, i decided to try some rust reverter that i picked up for the fuel tank on my bike last year - already looking much better after 24hrs soaking under saturated shop towels.. let's see how it looks in a few days when i get back around to it.

Chinglish usually requires squinting due to small print. I tried to have my new computer read the small qr code on the inside box tab of my new 100W usb-c power supply from Amoron. No luck, so I used the ask the seller a question option. In a few hours I got an very nicely written reply that they had registered my unit for the two year extended warranty from my purchase and help request info.

The pervious unit a 45W cig lighter usb-c also from Amoron didn't work. I used the I got an issue with the product option. I got a quick response from the seller. They wanted pic's of the unit not working... I took a pic of the unit in the box which had an illustration of the unit, that didn't match the unit. In the pic was all the very nice packing. In the response I added I don't know how to take a pic of it not working as it didn't have a indicator LED that indicated it had power. They ask for something else so I sent my reply asking for a pic of the person/machine that made the unit and one of it passing QC. And a question of how hard do we want to work for a $30 unit? They promptly refunded my money and I wrote them a 4* review for easiness but 5* for response and customer service and also told Amoron I was happy with the seller, 5*

The worst for me (so far) was replacing the door hinges. A combination of acrobatic contortions, ratcheting box wrenches used blindly, and skinned knuckles.

My '67 doesn't have doors at the moment. Not because I don't need doors, but because I was installing the Quik Hinges and can't get my hands, or a wrench up into the cavity for the top 2 bolts on the passenger side.

That is exactly why I was doing that - replaced my stock door hinges with Quik Hinges; love them. It's a trial to get them in but worth it. It's been a while since I did mine, but as I remember those hardest-to-reach bolts required some short stubby ratcheting box-end wrenches. Mine is a later tub, don't know the differences if any in hinge placement.
