What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I finished the build. Went from bone stock to ready for DV in 30 days. Lots went wrong. Roof rack they shipped was the wrong one. Misc parts delayed. But, with the help of you fine forum members, we gotter done.
Tackled every major maintenance item, from TB to fluids. Repainted several panels. 3” lift with all the goodies, 18” steelies with Toyo 33’s. New front and rear driveshafts. List is endless. Thanks to all who provided advice.

Took the roof off the lwb45 for the third time in 31 years. The first time was in 2001when I cut it open and repaired the damage to the roof and cab from a tree that had fallen on it at some point before I bought it in ‘94 (I still chuckle when I remember that the seller had told me he received a few phone calls from people who told him not to sell it to me because I was a flipper!😛)

The second time was for a quick respray in 2012, at which point I put in a new weatherstrip.
This time, I need to sand down the quicky respray and seal it properly. But before I go topside, I did something that I’ve been wanting to do for 31 years: I put a headliner in it!

@FJ45dude put the same headliner in my swb45 32 years ago, and I’m still happy with it. It just takes me a long time to get around to some things sometimes. Kind of like @peesalot and his tube fenders.😉

I am looking for the proper banjo fitting so I can fit hard lines back to my carb.
Mine are set up a little different, Banjos might work though...

This the blue one Mark ? Headliner , so refined, looks good. This is the 45 that you had some sort of sleeping platform in back IIRC ?
Yes, the blue one.

beauty. a few questions…what material is that for the headliner? second when you refinished the roof did you have any patch work? i’m currently fixing a hole a PO made and i’m fibreglassing the hole but for the fine work do you just use the epoxy and sand or do you use body putty? then did you just paint or get a proper gel coat? mine will likely just get paint as it’s a patina truck so i don’t need a perfect roof but curious to know how others have attacked their repairs!!

I used indoor/outdoor carpet. I have had the same headliner in my swb45 for over 30 years and am still happy with the choice.

As for the roof, the 45 has a metal roof. Whole different animal. I don't know squat about fiberglass. The one time a customer asked me to repair their roof, I just bought some resin, used it like bondo, and sanded/prepped/painted like I would a steel part.

I consider @osamenor to be a resident expert on fiberglass, as he has been around boats his whole life. Maybe he will chime in on your question.😊

The I.D. / O.D. Changed between the F and the 2F carbs Greg. If the bolt in your pic fits loosely in one of those banjos, that would be the one he’s after.
Aha! One looks to be an M11 (?), the other an M12? Or are these British?

Aren't there a pair of hooks that bolt on to the sides of the block that are made for doing just that?
Not on an F135. The bosses for the hook did not appear until 1967, with the change to the F145.

Was working on removing the body mount bolts and carving off the carriage bolts holding the running boards in place. Making good progress, most are going to come off tomorrow. I had just finished redrilling and tapping 12 of 14 heat shield retaining bolts, which totally sucks as it is impossible to keep the hot metal from falling down your neck...

After finishing up
