Finally got around to working on my half doors. I've had the extra set of hard doors sitting around since 07 and just never thought I was good enough at welding sheet metal until now. Last year I built my girlfriend a set of half doors for her 82 pickup and found out it was actually pretty easy. The FJ40 doors are a million times easier then the pickup doors were too. They are straight, and they are a lot thicker metel. So far they are coming out pretty good. Hope to have them finished up by the end of the week.

Tomorrow going over to my parents house to pull there tractor out of the mud. Some dumbass kid they hired got it stuck in the mud and then ran it out of diesel while trying to get it unstuck. I will try to take some pictures of the cruiser saving a tractor from the mud. :)

I can take a few tomorrow... I am welding sheet metel over the hole for the windo crank, and then putting the other plate back on. I will probally carpet the inside and top (so you don't lay your arm on it mid summer and burn yourself) once I'm done and keep the original plate over the carpet just for the heck of it.

Managed to clean up the garage to get at my 42. Cleaned and vaccuumed it and got rid of all the stuff that got piled in it as if it were a shelf on wheels. Repairs are coming soon.
It's hurt'in ! but on deck is hooking up the alternator waiting on parts from 4wd Edmonton, fabing some 16ga body mounts below the seats.

Got the samurai seat mounted in the back and installed a new clutch master cylinder. Next up is new gear oil. Still waiting for the bikini top to be delivered.

I pulled my neighbor's John Deere out of the creek bottom with my 40; didn't even have to winch him, just a "tug" out with a strap in 4WD low-range . He didn't think it would pull his big tractor...

This thread is the wrong place to bring it up but, kinda yes. My problem right now is I'm only one guy and with family, day job and time needed for sanity, I can't keep up and can get a little burnt out. I am considering a couple options. One is taking the actual fabrication work off my plate and letting my employer make the parts. Then I would just sell them. That means smaller profit for me but a lot less physical work. Or I could find an established national vendor who could buy them wholesale from me and handle all the distribution.

These are just thoughts right now and any change would be months away but it would allow me to continue making parts for the community and hopefully make a small margin on the way by. The parts would have to cost more but they'd be readily available.
