Installed some extremely crucial parts.

Nice. Did you paint the Selectro hubs or did they come that color?
I painted them. I believe they were originally black, but almost all of the paint had worn off. I saw a photo where someone had painted theirs red, and thought the leftover paint from painting the interior of my old C10 would be a little more fun than black.

Ordered new door cards from CCOT. They are actually plastic, or a plastic-like material. The finished side has a grain pattern. They use little metal clips on the back that snap into the door holes. Will see how they hold up but they were better than the old ones that were falling apart.

For what it's worth, Uncle Toyota still has those available as OEM. My originals are ok but aging, so I ordered a pair and put on the shelf for a rainy day while they're still available. 😄

I put these on a couple years ago and they’ve held up great. Nice to not have to worry about MDF getting wet.

Iirc, it's the later gray version that's still available

laying in a greenhouse in the middle of the night reading threads…. I’ve learned the hard way diving into projects without proper mechanical, intellectual and emotional prep…

Have to leave for a generator outage in North Platte so I had to clean up and roll the RJ40 back to the back wall with the John Deere to make room for my Ram 3500.

I still have room to get the Ram 3500 in

Installed the new dash box. It only has 2 M5-.8 bolts holding it in place. I have a plan to stiffen it up when I get back. The metal is very thin so is wobbly right now and would fatigue with out some more help.

Not all this week, but over the last few. Took the front clip apart, drilled out retapped and replaced every broken bolt and all the rest in the fenders, front panels, light frames, etc. Installed the hood “bumpers”, turns out the hood will not stay latched with all 4, so 2 it is for now. Today I removed all of the interior panels. Going to have those made out of a thermoplastic called KYDEX at work. I will upholster them after, install new speakers, soundproof the entire cabin and go from there. Note: Wilbur is not a “restoration”, he is a purely utilitarian beach project.
