I’m afraid if I lift then it won’t go into the garage. I have SOR 2” shackles but I need to take some measurements to decide whether I will use them.

Put in a new clutch master and slave…and had a little help. While a really nice feeling clutch in the ‘82 is fantastic, it doesn’t hold a candle to the joy and smile on my daughter’s face as she got her hands greasy and contributed to taking off and putting on the master and helping to bleed the line. 
Adjusted valves, set the timing, changed the oil, loaded my 3 year old in her car seat and took the 58 year old sewing machine for a ride so Elsie* could fall asleep for her nap.

Took it to a car show yesterday. Had to tow it there with my t100. Upon leaving one of the organizers said it got 2nd or 3rd in people’s choice.

Well, I've finally getting around to this ol' 40... Disassembled the seats, sent the frames off for powder coat, I'm happy with the results.
If I even look under the hood of my LC with a white shirt on I get some oil on it. That and spaghetti ruin pretty much anything white I buy which is why most of my shirts are dark colors!Put in a new clutch master and slave…and had a little help. Still in bodywork purgatory but finally doing some of the fun stuff. Welds came out great. Just a little hammer and dolly work. The real steel panels are slightly thicker so there’s some blending that I need to do on the inside of the tub. 
Me too. The garage ruins a lot of my clothes. I call it progress.

Today I received a set of JIS nuts for my rear diff cover. Gathering the bits & pieces for this maintenance & repair work but this heat is brutal, so progress has been slow.
Are you also a desert dweller down here in Phoenix?

I have (or hopefully had) a leaking idle gear - shaft seal on my transfer-case.
So I ordered all the parts (sealing rings, gaskets, ...) and build a adapter for my jack, removed the drivedrain and pulled the gear, which I thought is easier, but the gearboxes somehow are designed to be removed together.
Removing all the gears etc. and found out, that the idler-shaft is worn. Same thing with the little shaft which is used to engage the front axle.
Lucky me, there are some dealers around, which have Bandeirante-Parts on stock. Not really cheap, but at least the good manufacturers for those aftermarket parts. So new idle-shaft with new bearings and same for the little shaft for the front axle.
Build everything back into place, bearing-adjustments looking good, cleaned and painted
Back on my jack and installed today.
To be honest, looks easier on the pictures, then it was. I cursed a lot at times, specially to get the old mud/gearoil-mix off the gearbox and to get it back in position to mount it onto the transmission. Unfortunately it's a one-man-show here.

knuckles are finished. Just need to connect the new brakes.
