For a nice aroma, you need to mix in some good old New Mexico pinon pine, @Dizzy can confirm. Many years ago I broke a leaf on one of my rear springs when I used my almost new '84 FJ60 to haul a few loads of green pinon from the National Forest just north of town. I didn't own a trailer back then, or a pickup.

I didn’t include all those, but ya. We have a wood stove in the house and I put one in my shop last winter. Was 20 degrees outside and had to open the big door because it was 90 inside. After 10 years in our current house, my wife is finally able to build a decent fire so that’s nice.
I grew up in Iowa on the Mississippi river. We would take the air boat out on the islands in the winter on the ice to cut wood for the stove. There would be frost on the walls sometimes in the mornings before the ben franklin got going again. We didn't have a furnace in the house. If anyone is looking, the PN for the three long screws that hold the steering wheel center cap is 90159-30217.
Pinon is an awesome fuel.
But, locked in my memory is getting a load of local Jemez ponderosa. The grain is straight, it cuts like butter, the sap browns like butter too. Makes for an awesome time with an axe in the backyard. It smells great freshly cut, and it isn't bad when it burns. Kinda a weak heat source though. But, I have some elm and some ash that became yard art because I got tired of the axe getting stuck.
I also used the '84 FJ60 to haul literally tons of Ponderosa out of the Jemez. Back then it was easy to get permits for mistletoe infested trees and for leftovers from the big commercial timber sales. One thing they didn't permit after all the large forest fires, starting with. the Cerro Grande fire in 2000, was salvage logging, which would have greatly reduced the fire load that helped fuel later, even larger, fires.

I use a wood stove to heat our cabin when ever we are there. Bought nineteen years ago and first winter power was out two weekends. Found out how worthless the beautiful masonry fire place is. By next winter had a wood stove and couple of generators. Few years later new power lines were installed. Generators have just sat. Wood stove is still used when ever we are there. Thermostat for the furnace is set at 45° year round. Burn oak and juniper. Almost free with a cheap wood permit on the National Forest. Interesting we do have Pinion pine but didn't think it was good heat source. Could get all the Ponderosa pine I want just burns to dirty. Have used my FJ45 a few times but mainly use a FJ40 or my FJ62 pulling a trailer to get work. By back doesn't like swinging a ax anymore so been using a work splitter.

Continuing the Small Things while waiting on suspensions parts to be delivered. Installed a new plastic 6 pin connector at headlight switch that I obtained from Toyota Matt. Installed seat belts for rear jump seats and straps. Since our jump seats seem to have extra thick foam padding, the stock straps were too short. I ended up making longer straps using materials sourced off of Amazon.Installed these after dealing with a leaking pipe. Notice the new and improved "Bypath" hose.

Finished my exhaust for the LS swap. All stainless. Flowmaster FlowFX 3” bullet, Pypes X-box modified from a dual 2.5” inlet/outlet to 2.5” dual inlet to 3” single outlet. I’m really happy with the results.
Nice looking exhaust. Wish mine looked that slick. What transmission are you using? Do you have any pics showing the side profile?
