For a nice aroma, you need to mix in some good old New Mexico pinon pine, @Dizzy can confirm. Many years ago I broke a leaf on one of my rear springs when I used my almost new '84 FJ60 to haul a few loads of green pinon from the National Forest just north of town. I didn't own a trailer back then, or a pickup.
Which leaf in the pack broke?

What shape was your old F in? Shipping would be a killer but would like to replace the early 2F in my 70 FJ40 because is a real nice original survivor.
Not sure what condition its in. It turns over. I can say I bought the car from OG owner. The last time it was tagged was in '88. So it saw 18 years of mountain roads and short trips to town. The mans house caught fire and the 40 was pretty close to it. enough to melt wires and lights. Parked it after that.

Using the stock 4 speed. I'll post up some pictures of the profile a bit later today

@orangefj45 did his magic on my transfer case and gave the rig a once over. Can’t thank Georg and his crew enough for all the advice and professionalism they have provided during my build. Time to enjoy it!

Matt, Have you got any of these tensioner brackets to go with the shiny hardware? I’m a buyer if you do.

Even though the early 2F runs very well would like a period correct engine in it. That would be hardest thing to take it back to stock. The original who has now passed away said it had a issue with burning a exhaust valve. Mid seventies he bought a 2F from someone who bought pulled the 2F and installed a V8 right after purchasing the 40. Checking the 2F serial number there are only a couple in the 2F thread that are lower.
