Things are changing here locally, mainly because the entire forest around town has been burned by seven major forest fires dating back to 1977. Back when I was growing up, all you ever saw were an occasional deer on the highway. Now we see deer in the yard almost every day, a coyote a couple of times a week, bobcats in the back yard, bears in the backyard and at the elementary school, and a mountain lion now and then (in broad daylight).

No wild boars, though. But we have seen javelina twice in the median and on the shoulder of I-40 between Albuquerque and Kingman. We didn't realize they were that far north.
My brother worked for the Arizona Game & Fish and said the Javalina have been spotted on the south rim of the grand canyon for the first time ever. He also said that grasses native to Mexico are moving north into southern Arizona.

It’s not all together but we were able to drive it. I’d promised April, then May, June… we’ll at least it was before the snow flies again.

The 5.3 is silky smooth. Once it’s all together I can wait to put it through it gears.

Finally got this thing painted. Bodywork took me forever, but I'm very happy with the results.

It's too nice to be a crawler now.

I love all of the knowledge on this forum, thanks @1911 amd @BearBio! The only wildlife we see in these parts are the scrawny coyotes that have come down from the hills in search of something to eat!
I don't know! Several of my bears were trapped in Arcadia and Monrovia and one was trapped in Pasadena. Saw bobcats fairly often and lots of skunks!
My thesis is summarized on the web @ Home Range Size and Habitat Use of Urban Black Bears in the San Gabriel Mountains - http://tchester.org/sgm/animals/bears_stralen.html

Started working on my dual battery ultimate winch build: Ultimate dual battery setup for winching | REDARC Electronics - https://www.redarc.com.au/wiring-diagrams/bcdc-jump-start-feature-for-winching.

Have the new crank battery installed thanks to 4 plus products. I had to find a location for the BCDC charger and the ARP compressor. Not quite enough room to mount the charger flat so I angled it. Still need to clean it up as its sitting crooked. The ARP is sitting on a tray that will be bolted to the fender and catch two pieces of angle iron that run along side the HVAC plate. Hopefully I can get the heater hoses and AC lines through.

You never know what you'll see out there.
