Also changed the oil, checked levels in the tranny and transfer case.

Performed compression test after 700 mile break in on rebuilt 2F. All cylinders were at 145 PSI across the board (20 feet above sea level). Changed spark plugs to Denso W14EX-U, OEM #90919-01056. Also, upgraded plug wires to OEM #90919-21322. Fixed vacuum leak at base of carb thanks to @Solace in Solitude. Then went for a ride.

If it was me who helped your welcome. But I don't remember doing it. Commenting on vacuum leak lately doesn't ring a bell (I am getting old) and do not want to take credit that belongs to someone else.

Got the driver’s seat rails unfrozen in anticipation of moving the seat far enough forward to give my 14-year old daughter her first driving lesson.

Good on you for teaching her to drive a stick.
I have taught a bunch of kids (my own, my foster daughters, family friends, exchange students) how to drive a stick. My 40 works really well for it because of the granny low 1st gear in the H41 means that it is hard to stall when first learning to use the clutch. All of the girls were proud as punch that they could do something that most boys in their school could not.

I told her once she learns to drive the Troopy there won’t be an automobile around that she can’t handle. Yesterday’s lesson was in the driveway with the transfer case in neutral, to get a feel for shifting and working the pedals in general.

My 16 year old daughter drives stick pretty good. She actually thinks my BJ74 is the easiest to drive. Granny gears are great. The right hand drive doesn’t even mess with her.
