Added the stedi license plate LED lights. About as easy of a mid you can do and man was that shipping fast from Aussie. For about 45 bucks USD delivered not a bad deal for something that should last a very long time.

That looks great. Which unit is that? And how is it to actually use?

Nice, my stereo quit working. Which unit did you go with? Do you mind sharing the link? Any issues with the install?

I'll do a write-up shortly. I'm 80% satisfied but still working through some major issues before I can do any recommendations. Namely I'm sidestepping integration of the backup cam with a digital rearview mirror replacement. Also brightness and glare during the day is a major issue. Trying a matte screen protector that should come in mid-week.

The modern functional aspects are incredible. Full featured and fast big screen android tablet in the console, with solid split screen support. The possibilities are endless.

Buffed out some trail rash from two recent wheeling trips. Used a Flex XC buffer with orange pad and Menzerna polish. Then applied Jescar Powerlock polymer sealant with red pad. Did both sides in about 1 hour.

What's up guys. the unusually cold winter is finally fading around here. I have finally been able to work on the LX without freezing. I have also been able to put some miles on it. I bought this one with 120k on it after the 120k mile maintenance was completed, with the exception of the transmission. I finished up the first drain and fill last weekend. The shifting in the low gears has noticeably improved. I'll do a few more this spring as I get time. I have a little pump I built to refresh the WS in my 5 speed. It works just as well on the 6 speed.

I added the Reese brake controller. I followed @grinchy lead. I am happy with it after the first trip. It was difficult to find a place to mount the controller that maintained the correct orientation even though it is smaller than the redarc. I skipped the sticker and put the knob in about the same place. I mounted the LED down below since the info it gives is not super useful anyways.

We spend most of our time on pavement but most trips end on dirt and rocks. I went with Toyo AT3s and compared to the half worn BFG AT2s on my truck, these are louder. 285/70/18 required a fair bit of work to get to fit. I have 1 inch spacers as well. I ended up having to do pretty much everything @TeCKis300 in his fitting full fat tires thread. So thanks for the photos. I made things harder on myself by not starting there. I was able to keep the mud flaps but I did not have cut and tuck them. I did have to trim the inner side of the rocker and hammer the mounting point.

Finally, with some pointers from @eatSleepWoof I was able to peice together a rack with some wide cross bars. I think the wide bar thing may be a regional thing. This is river country and racks are for carrying boats. I put the front bar in the same location as the stock LX bars, to avoid having to use tie downs over the sunroof and because it will simplify putting bikes on the rack, though that is a secondary purpose.

The first camping trip went good. The 200 tows just great. Hooking and unhooking was fun with the AHC. We ended up camping on a decent green way so we threw the bikes in. They just fit with the seat folded up.

Liking the polished aluminum! What year is she?

I’ve got plenty of pads, polish and an extra polisher - Rupes Bigfoot. Bring her on in. Picked up a case of Guinness yesterday too.
Polishing a 10 year old vehicle really pays off in compliments from people telling you it doesn't look that old. The new polishes are easy to use and hard to screw up. The tools are reasonably priced and easy to justify.

Picked up a second hand Gamiviti Expo ++ this weekend from Mud classifieds. Looks great, and super stout. Excited to make my next mall run to see how much stuff I can get home. (Should have waited until i had a cool trail pic but too excited so this "urban jungle" will have to do.)

3rd row removal. Now time for a proper 2 row mat and some d-rings where the seat once bolted to.

Shameless plug but not sure where you are but give you a screaming deal on OEM rear cargo mats:

Appreciate that but ordered the 2 row Lexus mat. Good deal for someone though.

How do you like the LFD skid? I think I’m going to order one soon. They are also making a new center-style front bumper for the LC200. They already have one for the 570. Looks pretty awesome.

Its great! Had it painted the same color you see on the TRD skid plates on 4Runners
