I hit 20 once. It was a total fluke. I believe the entire 35 corridor from san antonio to austin must be downhill. Lol.

I did my first oil change on it and was initially excited to see an aluminum filter cap. Once I pulled it off, I noticed it didn't have the metal cage the filter rides on inside:

Then I noticed "China" on the casting:

the garbage filter was also made in china.

How was the filter not completely collapsed!!! I would have been so pissed man. Sorry…

I believe it is the opposite actually, I used to spend a lot of wasted time on that corridor. I don't miss it at all.

Well here’s a new one

Noticed a coolant drip, thought it was the petcock valve so I pulled the skids and made sure it was closed tightly. Got it cleaned up and started the truck and there is substantial coolant seepage out of the bottom of the radiator.

It less than 50k miles old.

New design 2018+ radiator?

I usually get my facts backwards thanks.
Is there anything other than pure waste that corridor produces tho? Lol

Their goal all along was to grow the two cities into one along that corridor and it looks like they are moving right along with that plan. It's a nightmare section of highway, but so is Austin north to Georgetown and sadly now Austin to Bastrop on 71 and Austin to Liberty Hill along 183. There's just no avoiding the overcrowding that has happened in the Austin area in the last 15 years.

I couldn't tell from my phone screen, but did you figure out where it is leaking from? I often wonder whether some failures come from reusing hoses and the spring clamps.

Initially thought it was the hose but I blew away all of the coolant with my compressor and started the truck. Its seeping from where the fins meet the plastic.

“Upgraded” my Weathertech mats with Drew’s Decals. Quick two minute swap.

Anyone have a simple solution or just the stock replacement part # for the hooks in the carpet? I managed to rip ALL mine out in the front after installing weather techs

That sucks. Sorry to hear you have to deal with that.

Check with your dealer's parts dept. Mine gave me hooks for free for my 100. They don't want mats sliding around.

Did an oil change, installed my Jowett Performance oil cap, lubed the rear driveshaft and installed a longer linkage on the rear control arm to aim the headlights better

Who did you get the headlight linkage from?

Who did you get the headlight linkage from?
It’s a Weber carb linkage. I can check my invoice at home later but I think I just googled it. Cost $16
