About 80k. Dealer replaced the battery. Says the alternator is fine.
Interesting. Was it just the battery? What they charging now a days for their true start batteries? I'm due for one. Was thinking autozone but might just stick to toyota.

Cleaned up the LC after a rough week in Texas. About a month ago installed a Tough Dog kit and fitted Toyo A/T3 (285/65R18), got it leveled out and love the look.

Got my radio and mount, now waiting for install at local shop which is booked out until April.. I can do some stuff with cars but I'm not game to pull the dash out and mess with the electrics of my LX.

Honestly, I had the exact mindset as you. Before the 200, I had 3 80 series and was comfortable taking the dash panels off but was too scared to do it in the 200. After about a Month of the GME Unit sitting at home I just decided to do it myself and I can honestly say its probably just as easy as my old 80 series. Its very easy.

I followed Australian Images YT/Website :)

Got to use my:
  • Snatch strap
  • Hitch receiver recovery point
  • Soft Shackle
  • ARB front recovery point
for the first time pulling a Ford Flex out of the crazy Tennessee snow the other day. Made their day and I got to play with my recovery gear in a low-stress situation with my wife along for the ride to see how important it is for me to buy all this gear. :)

"And that, my dear wife, is why you always carry your recovery gear."

Yeah, I was stunned the previous owner didn't R&R all 8 plugs considering the mileage. On to the next project, refreshing the suspension. Unfortunately, I broke two rusted bolts off on the rear passenger swaybar mount. Hopefully, I can drill them out. Dobison 2inch upfront with SPC UCA's and no lift or 25mm springs in the rear.

Why not Dobinson's UCAs?

The SPC units have far too may moving parts for me - unless - it was a race car and I was checking on it quite frequently. I ordered the aforementioned ones as they are fixed and simple. There are other alignment cams in the system on the OEM parts. Thanks for your opinion.

In addition to the two ELEMENT E50 fire extinguishers I keep within arm's reach of the driver's seat:

I installed two 2.5 lb extinguishers on my Kaon roof shelf:

These Bartact fire extinguisher holders (link here: Fire extinguisher holders on Amazon) made it a 5 minute install - very robust mount, but the extinguishers are easily removed for use.

Those look like cruise missiles directed at you and your passengers’ heads in the event of a front end collision.
