The ARB Sahara looks sharp. I like the side clearance lights. It’s a nice, subtle touch.

If you are going to use it I cant think of a better place. No worries on loosing that adapter:grinpimp:

Right? I also plan on adding from the aviation world a "remove before flight" tag for extra safety!

Hey thx, from some reasons my parking sensors didn't work at this spot so i moved them by the turn signals and they're good now.

  • bought it
  • washed it
  • cleaned the leather
  • took out 4 dings with my PDR kit
  • added Caddy train horns
  • new wipers all around
  • repaired the HVAC blower motor
  • repaired the recirc door
  • repaired floor mat hook
  • made the center console lid noise-free
  • painted grill and all emblems (bye bye gold!)
  • added cool box storage tray
  • air filter
  • cabin filter
  • painted the shift knob and console trim to cover up scratches
  • replaced battery in smart key
  • refurbished the headlights and fog lights with the Sylvania kit
  • buffed out some scratches
  • replaced a mismatched lug nut
  • cleaned the battery terminals
  • inspected radiator and serpentine belt
  • added phone mount
  • bought lots more maintenance parts (coolant, spark plugs, heater hose tees, diff fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, PS fluid, PCV, polish)
  • spent untold hours researching lifts, tires, and wheels
  • blocked out my calendar for the next 6 weekends to give this thing some more TLC
I’ve been wanting to do the Caddy train horns as well. Were they plug and play?

My folks had an Eldorado with those horns. So cool.

Started my BP-51 install. I ordered an Icon Spanner wrench to adjust the preload and quickly found out the pins on it are too big. Very frustrating that ARB does not include a cheap wrench with the $3k+ kit. My vendor, OK4WD also failed to mention it was not included. This is my daily driver so I now need to share a car this week with my girlfriend. The only other Spanner wrench I knew worked was a $$$way A Way Wrench (aFe Control Sway-A-Way Aluminum Spanner Wrench) so I reluctantly ordered it.

I was able to get the rear in pretty smoothly, but am hung up on installing the shaft guards. They don’t want to slide over the yellow pieces. Any tips? @Markuson @Taco2Cruiser @TonyP @indycole

Hope to have this finished and my 34’s installed by the weekend.

Slee installed my BP51s, and when I picked it up they gave me a spanner that came with the kit. Sounds like you didn’t get something you should have...

I am talking about a Spanner wrench with a pin that adjusts the preload of the front coil overs. ARB was so generous that they gave me 3 Spanner wrenches to adjust rebound and compression. That really added insult to injury.

The black wrenches that come with are for compression and rebound... But those won’t help on preload. What’s interesting is that at least two local shops here also did not have the right wrench either.

For the shock guard with the yellow half moon clips. They are ever so slightly different. Now, I'll be the first to say ARB could of definitely changed this, as they make changes all the time. But I sat and looked at them for a bit, saw the slight edge differences, then played with them, and got them to slide right in. I hope they are still like that.

Speaking of changes, On the stem kit, ARB has a mess up with the washers at the top of the rear shock. They are sending two large washers with lips, and two large washer without lips. The correct kit is three large washers without lips, and one large wash with a lip. The one large washer with a lip is fitted to touch the bottom of the frame mount. So from the bottom of the stem to the top its, no lip washer, bushing, lip washer, frame, no lip washer, bushing, no lip washer, nut.

For a spanner wrench, just put some spring compressors on the front coils, and then you can adjust preload by hand. That's how i've been doing it.

Not plug and play, but worth the effort. I ordered them off eBay a few years ago. There's a guy who refurbishes them and sells them with the wiring pigtails. I pulled the stock horns, ran a wire from the original horn wiring to a relay, and then used that relay to power the horns. There are 4 horns in the set. Two went into the stock horn locations and two went below the bumper.

I had them installed on my GX470, and when I sold that truck a couple of weeks ago, I insisted that the Caddy horns weren't included in the sale. :steer: They aren't ear-splitting loud, but they just sound so good!

Picked my 200 up from the body shop. On my way home from LCDC I hit a self service car wash 30-50 miles outside Telluride to clean some of the dirt and mud off. I didn’t think I needed to give the foam brush head a hand job, silly me. There had to be some dirt in the brush head as I scratched my truck in a few places that could not have been scratched from our trail rides. The biggest and most annoying scratch intersected the front driver side wheel and steering wheel on top of the hood. Every time I walked up to the truck I saw it. I’ve had a handful of rock chips that I’ve wanted to get fixed (130k+ on the truck) on the hood for a while. The shop did great work for me last year so I took it back to them this year. They even did a quick cleaning of the interior (much needed after the LCDC trip).

The adjustment wrenches came in the fit-kit for the 200 series (the one with all the hardware). I'd double check that box to see if it's in there. It's a pretty bog standard coilover adjustment tool though. Maybe slightly different.

Not sure on the rear guards. I used a set from Bud Built.

I never knew there was a spanner to adjust the preload? I assumed this needed to be done with a spring compressor at a shop. Regarding the shock guards, I can't help ya there either as I didn't do the install. Not that it mattered much as they lasted one trip and now I'm using the Trail Tailor guards which I got some use out of today, in fact.

Perfect, thanks for the response. I’ll check ebay. And yes, not super loud but they are so distinct they get plenty of attention when needed.

He has the adjustment wrenches.
What he’s looking for is a proper spanner for preload.

I’m curious why there is so much resistance to hand turning the preload ring, if the pinch bolts are loosened and springs are compressed to remove pressure.
