Would you share your parts list? Thanks!

Do you happen to have part numbers for the trim pieces you replaced?

This is what I have from my spreadsheet

And did you have to replace the side panels to hold the cover?

And did you have to replace the side panels to hold the cover?

As mentioned, only the side panels need to be removed. Learning from my mistakes, it’s much easier to remove the entire panel so you have access to the inner portion where the template sits. It’s kind of wild to think Toyota had the mounting points for the tonneau cover planned as early as 2013, even though the covers were only available around 2019–2021 (iirc).

Removing the whole panel makes it much easier to make your cuts and attach the cargo mounts, latch hooks, and their respective backing plates. In typical Toyota over-engineering fashion, they use like eight screws just to hold the cup holders and the section behind them. I initially thought those could simply be pried up, but nope.

Overall, the job wasn’t too bad once I figured out the first side. The bracket is solid and bolts directly into the frame.

Unfortunately, I’m in Hawaii, so I had to order through the only Toyota dealer here. The cover itself was $865, and the mounting components were ordered online and came out to about $300.

It has a dobinsons lift with dobinsons uppers, and the wheels are 25mm offset. With the narrower 10.50 tire, it just barely kisses the kdss arm at full lock. Probably gonna need to do a kdss relocation just for peace of mind. It rubs way less than the previous 305/55-r20 bfg ATs did.

Granted, I haven't taken it offroad, yet, so we will see what's gonna be necessary once it gets a little twisty.
Any chance you would post some photos to show how wide then tires look? Maybe a front and back photo?

Pretty much what I would have posted.. thanks for saving me the work of digging up the photos!

I did'nt personally do it! With the AHC component costs for 8gs on Ebay and a dealer factory repair cost of 36gs 😳😲🤔🧐. The 2gs install of the OME was cost effective and works great. I'll post pics tomorrow.
$36,000??? That’s 225 hours labor at our hourly rate of $160. That’s a very spicy figure.

Photos would be great. So did you have a shop eliminate the AHC or are you saying it's as simple as working around the AHC system with new suspension components?

That's cause they recommend removing the body to have access to the components 😲😳. Individual parts was the killer, labor was over 2gs. 🐂💩! Were trying to sell a new car😳😲😉
I can promise you the service department was not trying to sell you a new car.

That labor figure seems REALLY low for how involved the job would be.

Bought one! I sold my 200 a few years back and missed it since. Sold my Tacoma and bought another one about a week ago. Not doing an extensive build since it will be my daily driver. But do plan on lift, wheels/tires, tint, Android auto upgrade, and getting some paint correction, followed by clear protection wrap. Glad to be back in the 200 club!

Thanks! I plan to keep a 1/2 inch rake.
Which billsteins? I can't find 5100 for the 200. Is it the 6112? I plan to replace the rear struts as well. I was thinking the dobinson ims fronts would be similar to billsteins, being that they are height adjustable and putting the ims rears in too. But keeping the stock 200 springs.. if I replace struts front and rear, do you see a problem with keeping the stock springs?
Thx again
If you call Mudify on the phone and tell them the exact driving characteristics you are looking for they will walk through step by step and get you the exact shocks and springs you need.
