Joined the big boy club yesterday.
One owner 2017, Blue Onyx Pearl, Terra interior, 112k, dealer serviced every 5k. I've never seen a cleaner Toyota service history, clean carfax. NJ car it's entire life, but very, very clean underneath.
Was traded in at my buddies BMW dealership last Thursday on a new X7. I had to stretch myself real thin, but was able to pull it off.View attachment 3856151View attachment 3856152
Awesome rig! As @ryanCA mentioned - 2016+ 200s are the prototypical LC spec model all other strive for and fail at achieving!

Love that color, especially with bronze wheels.

Congrats!

Oooh, tell us more. How was the install?
Very simple install.
The LC cluster comes out in about 10 minutes.
You do have to cut into the Can H & L wires on the cluster harness.
My reluctance to cut in to a wire harness was out weighed by my annoyance of a speedo off by 6%.
I used the solder seal wire connectors.
The instructions call for taping into the same wire harness for the ground and 12v+, I choose not to mess up another two wires.
There is a m6 factory ground bolt to the left of the steering wheel behind the switches.
The 12v+ I used a fuse tap.

Blue onyx terra is the primo combo for 2016+. Better than any HE. Sorry HE bros.

What a gorgeous color combo! Congrats on the new rig.

Installed Mark's 4*4 speedo corrector.

A 6% correction on 295/70/18 tires put it back to spot on. Cruise control is also corrected.
With exchange rate it was $320 shipped to CA
Bonus, if I'm thinking about it correctly, is it will eventually pay for itself! You go 10k actual miles, and the odometer only shows 9400! Winning! :D

Sadly, he’s going the wrong way for that. Putting big tires on and not correcting is how you get lower recorded miles.

After I repaired the harness already multiple times and I still got occasionally errors when it was wet every now and then it was now finally time for a fresh, shiny and new ABS harness for the rear of the car (I should directly rub it in dirt…. looks out of place on my s***tycruiser)

Was done in like an hour (50% of the time dealing with my beloved rust…..)

Btw just as an orientation. If you get a ABS sensor error and have no speedo and also have no ABS working then it is the left rear sensor or its cable. If you get just an error and breaking just feels funny it is the right rear or maybe one of the front ones - luckily Techstream tells you exactly wich one.

No offense taken. Blue/terra is a great combo…but I’m not trading my HE! 😉
Same. I traded a 2016 blue/terra for my HE. I really wish I could’ve got Terra in my HE though. It’s what I miss most.

The speedo corrector I used doesn't correct the odometer. So still have lower recorded miles
What corrector doesn’t work inline with the VSS? Are you saying it moves the displays only but doesn’t affect anything else?

Blue/Terra is the exact color combo I wanted instead of the HE. Had I found it before the black HE I have, I wouldn't be driving my HE.

When I bought my 2021 in March of 21, they were asking huge markups. I wanted white, but couldn't say no to 7k off MSRP on a 6 mile black HE.

Now, if they made a LC in Nori Green Pearl... Look out. That color dwarfs all others. Maybe one day I'll get an LX700H in Nori Green.

Nice!!!! Give us a quick rundown on the comparison with your LX470 please.

This post really should be what have I done to my 200 series this week that I really did not need to do. Since I bought my new to me LC the driver's side window has had a terrible scratch on the inside from what looked like a small rock getting caught between the window and the trim. There were also other scratches from I assume the previous owner's dog.

It bugged me enough that during one of the sales I bought a new OEM window to install. Today was a nice day so decided to tackle the project. I found this video helpful. Armed with my new spiffy trim tool I got the door panel off without any problem. I figured out how get the window unbolted and pulled that sucker out.

I then looked at the window carefully. Surprise!! The window was not scratched but the tinting was scratched. I had looked before but did see any signs of tinting. Since the window was out I removed the old tinting and cleaned all of the glue off. I then re-installed the window. The only PITA was the right side bolt for the window. There is a small access 1" hole and the alignment is not perfect so getting the bolt to thread took a few tries. I eventually held the window track from inside the door and got the bolt aligned. Once that was done I tested everything and buttoned everything back up.

The coup-de-grace is that while I doing all that I did not realize the headlights were on so I killed the battery. Fortunately I inherited a battery charger so solved that issue while cleaning the window.

Tomorrow I will make an appointment with our local window tint shop and have the window tint replaced. I am sure he like everyone else will get a laugh out of my Sunday afternoon of fun. And please do laugh as now that it is done I am laughing as well. Well sort of. And if anyone needs a driver's side OEM glass let me know.
