Built something to keep the spare from taking my head off
Installed the YodaTEQ engine bay light kit. A flexible strip of lights sticks under the hood, and wires to the battery and a hood pin switch. All kinds of light now, hard to believe the LC didn't come with at least a bulb under the hood. With the PFran kit installed yesterday now I've got LED under the hood and all the interior.
Ordered parts to do a rear brake job, rear shocks ordered as well, all Toyota, figure if I'm in there I might as well do both.

Finally got testing the the 4wd system. Success.
Cancelled Audible and Netflix. Putting that money toward Gaia GPS and inReach subscriptions. Spring has sprung.

Up near four peaks this morning
It’s finally starting to warm up a bit in the northeast, so this morning I decided I would do a little wiring work on my 100. My rear view camera had stopped working a while ago, and I had ordered a replacement cable figuring it got pinched somewhere. Today I tested the new cable, and the camera worked. So, I reran the new cable, and while I was at it added a rubber grommet where the cable enters the tailgate. Rear view camera fully operational again.
While I was out there, I decided to finally re-seal my liftgate break light. I figured I would want to hit the car wash soon, but I didn’t want to see water pouring in through the top of the lift gate again. Found a deep 7/16 socket which seemed to fit well enough, and took off the two nuts holding the tail light in. When I got it off, I was stunned at how wet the OEM “gasket” was. It was soaked, and felt like a soggy sponge. It did rain yesterday. Anyway, I used a razor blade to cut off the old “gasket” material, and also used a heat gun to dry out the tailgate cavity. Then I put a good amount of Gorilla Silicon Caulk/Sealant (transparent, water proof, ready for rain within 30 minutes) around the opening on the tailgate, slid the light back on, and tightened the nuts back up.
Hopefully now I will be able to go to a car wash and not have a stream of water pouring in if the jets hit the edge of the tail light.
Note: since sanding and spraying the bottom of the lift gate with rustoleum, the rust has not spread at all. Even though it took me almost a year to re-seal the third brake light.

Did you paint the door mouldings? I have the same color cruiser and mine are fading. Thinking about doing the same. That color combo looks good; I originally was going to do a body match before seeing this

Thanks! I actually wrapped them myself with Avery SW-9200 vinyl (i forget the actual color number, if you want it I can dig it up for you)
Cost around 30 bucks for the material, took about 2 hours to do (including the learning curve), and you’ll need some alcohol, a microfiber edged squeegee, and some sharp blades.

Dropped my tired OEM LX springs out of the rear and installed King coils and Slee 30 mm spacers to help my AHC neutral pressures. Impressed with the ride so far.....it's a tad bit firmer but not overly harsh.

Pulled right rear wheel and found oil on dust cover; rotor and caliper dry. Leaky axle seal? Easy fix?
Any links/ forums for preferred types and capacities of fluids needed when replacing?
Also, took the family hiking to "C Canyon" today, near Price, UT. Image #2 for scale the lx can be seen in the lower right.

Decided to try my hand at smoking out the front headlights. My First test was with some clear corner markers I have. Never done it before and don't really want to shell out the beans for black depot's at the moment so I thought I'd try this route first to see if I'd even like them. I just went with the light smoke and it makes more of a difference than I thought. Took a lot of coaxing with the hairdryer to stretch around all those curves! I think I'll wait for warmer temps up here to finish the rest.
Since I've got a few hours my next little project will be installing my interior PFran LED's!!! More pics later tonight!
