Ditched the running boards. The front of the passenger side was a pain in the ass.

How did you do the auto switch. I have been holding

off on my under hood light wiring, cause I haven't found a switch approach I like. Please share "Photos" of the interesting bits.

The details are in my build thread, check out the link in my signature, page 12 is what you want. It's a simple plunger from Amazon with a home made mount on the inner fender.

I just can NOT wait for it to warm up to install the Dissent front bumper I've had for 2 weeks, and Tough Dog suspension I just got from TT... it's 15F so I have to work in shifts, coming in to warm up so I'll feel it if I go through a finger.

About four hours total:
1. Grill opening cut, cleaned and painted, then two coats of satin graphite metallic applied. Edit: just realized that when I chose the paint color I had my nine year old son with me and he talked me into going a shade darker. So the color is actually 'Flat soft Iron'.
2. Radio bezel removed, switch opening cut, Toyota 00550-35976 fog light switch installed.
3. Wiring harness and 120 watt, 25 inch, single row 8400 (+/- 600) lumen combo beam LED light bar installed.

Sorry last pic is bit blurry, but you get the idea. Switch does not exactly match the rest of the LC100, but I really like the type of switch and it is at least a Toyota product that is made in the USA. If I shop for anything, I try to buy made in America, if the quality and value are good. The light and harness however are made you know where, because any made in America lights that I could find that I liked as well cost 3-5 times as much :frown:. I was actually willing to pay 2x for made in the USA, but not 5x. So it was either this light bar or nothing at this point.

The paint on the metal portion of my OEM roof rack is peeling away, so I will be painting that and eventually my wheels to match the grill. I left the Toyota emblem chrome because I plan to leave the emblems on the rear stock as well.

Well I got the Dissent front bumper in, couldn't get the suspension in as drawer shipments, cold, kids, and exhaustion all got to me. Trying like hell to get it in before the CentralOregonLandCruisers meet & night run this Saturday (CENTRAL OREGON LANDCRUISERS) - waiting on wrench for the back shocks and a little time for the rest.

Bumper is awesome, thanks Ben!

My wife even agrees, Hanzo no longer looks like a mall cruiser;) With snow mostly in the forecast mostly non-stop the next week I expect to be testing those front recovery points helping out folks soon enough...

Removed the rear badging, clay bar treatment and wax.

Removed all the letters then used a 3M Eraser Wheel to remove all the excess gunk/residue. The eraser wheel was well worth the $$. There were trace amounts of residue and dirt remaining after the eraser wheel had done its job, so I used small amounts of Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover and a small drill-powered buffer to finish the job. Worked wonders. Highly recommend both the eraser wheel and the turtle wax product.

Looks great! I'm so doing this once the weather warms up.

I ended up cleaning out the shed a little bit and came across my new antenna mast I scored off eBay and forgot.

Don't laugh please, my first attempt I could not for the life of me get it to pull free. I did bunches of there on Acura Legends beck in my day!

SO I decide to check the FSM so I can learn something.

Works great when you hold the rod after full extension like instructed and turn the unit off. That way when you power it on again it expels all the antenna winding cord.

Well honestly, I'd save the TRD logo for the T4R guys and the Tacomas. Oh and the FJs, lol... I always forget them.

As far as I'm concerned a TRD badge is a step down from the Land Cruiser badge they just don't know it.
