Ill be doing this soon, how is the ride after installing these bags?
I really like it! Have not taken the pop up trailer on the road yet, only in out of garage/driveway. I was driving w 8psi empty than added a full load w drawers, fridge and gear for last week camp in Shaver and rode very nice! Empty was a tad on the stiff side but I liked a little firmer ride.

They are sweet shocks for sure.

I have had my Icons on the truck for about two years now. The shaft is now slightly pitted by rust after a couple winters. I would like to have something that keeps things from impacting the shafts.

If you're dead set on removing them, please consider giving me an opportunity to take them off your hands.

Unfortunately , I will be cutting the the boots off because I don't want to take the time removing the shock bolt. You can easily pick up some at a local 4x4 store or Amazon.

Also, there is one belief that having the boot on causes corrosion faster because the moisture gets trapped inside. I would try using spray grease when driving the streets to help with corrosion. Offroad cycling the shock would obvious wipe the grease of the shaft.

JC was the AHC failing or causing more trouble than it was worth ? Any change of springs or additional sway bar required for the rear when deleting the AHC ?

I was considering this very swap but waiting for the AHC to bite it first.

My AHC was performing perfect. I only changed it because I'm a suspension snob, lol. You have to replace the springs as well. Same sway bars.

Here's the suspension on my other 4x4!

Ordered Slee SliderSteps. My wife originally wanted the MetalTech sliders, but their service leaves a lot to be desired. After several contact attempts I finally got someone on the phone who said they were out and had no production schedule. He was supposed to be finding out and emailing me the info. Never heard anything further. The Slee's are a lot more money but their responsiveness has been top notch.

I had the exact same experience - couldn't get an email response or a phone call answered/returned. Slee's service was stellar.

Was one of them a gold LX470? Because that was me. She's pretty dirty from coming in the NF 114 from the north through Polebridge. Pretty neat road and a fun little stop if you have time.

I also saw a 100 with a roof rack, awning and rear ladder. Nice looking rig.

Holy smokes! Where in socal are you at? I'm in San Diego and looking for a reliable shop for future suspension work on my lx if I decide to go beyond the standard conversion.

What are you doing with your AHC components you took off?

Toured Glacier's Going to the Sun Road yesterday and saw 4 Hundies. At least 2 we're dirtier than mine!

Definitely a place that has to be seen in person at least once in a lifetime. Gorgeous views on that road... Absolutely love that part of the country, I'm planning on living in Montana one of these days.

We just got back to Texas from the Billings area, we shot over to Anaconda for a few days and hit up Yellowstone earlier this week, down through Paradise Valley (North entrance) and out through Cody (West Entrance).

Snapped this picture of Paradise Valley. My favorite entrance into the park (although I haven't been the southern route YET)

First trip in the LX470, put ~3100 miles on the odometer. Gonna replace the differential fluids in the next week, try to fix the stuck cup holder from the center console, and pull the driver door apart to see if I can resolve the mirror issue I'm having.

Probably saw about 15 hundy's up in Montana, 5-6 in Billings alone.

Sorry for the delayed response, been traveling the last two weeks. Got them at superbrightleds.com. You can search by your vehicle and select the color.

Spent a week in Sandy, UT for a basketball team camp/tourney. Currently ending the second week of our vaca at my parents farm in North Dakota. Great being out of the heat.

Great view in Sandy.
