Programmed remote key -- I can now open and close the door remotely but the key can't start the car. Any takers on why that would be the case? @perrobravo
The code for the immobilisor is different than that of the lock/ unlock function. Each needs to programmed by way of their own independent process. Having TechStream makes it very simple but it should be in the owners manual maybe....

Set up ARB awning -- 2000 x 2500 -- Being that I had a half roof rack, I had to customize a bracket to make a third point for the awning to mount too. Originally, the roof rack was mounted using -- ARB Products 3713020 Flange Kit. I would have needed an extra base bracket but unfortunately ARB do not sell single pieces. I had to buy the whole kit again. I therefore will have 2 extra mounts -- Will only use two mounts, one on each side and mount a cross steel beam across them to have a place to mount spot lights and a solar panel. For the extra 2, am willing to sell them to anyone that could use them.
Do you tow that fun finder with your 100? If so, how does it tow? What's your weights and setup?

I painted all the chrome on the LX. I hate chrome more than I hate mud!

I used standard black plasti dip then the metalizer in graphite pearl. It really makes the black look way better. Gives it a more dark gun metal and the Pearl matches the pearl on the white perfectly.

Side note: the new 3M multi surface masking tape with edge gaurd technology is awful! The tape would start self peeling 10 min after being applied. It wouldn't even stick to itself... Im hugely disappointed as I always consider 3M to be the best in glue/tape.

You can see the tape peeling away from the car in the last photo. Luckily it was plasti dip and not a non-removable paint or I would have been really upset.

Replaced passenger side CV, replaced both front wheel bearings, greased spindle bearings (Slee tool rocks!),resurfaced front brake roters and installed new pads. She also got an oil change, transmission fluid flush, and all spiders and slip yokes greased.

Next up, new tensioner, idler, and heater hose tees.

Additional notes: The wheel bearings took care of strange harmonics I was experiencing between 45-55mph. Thanks to Cruiser Outfitters for the excellent (and affordable) kits that they sell.

Another plug for my replacement rebuilt CV from CVJ axles. A good affordable and quality option vs. the cheap Chinese parts store options.
Your fast!

Removed the engine cover - mine (like many) has lost the anti-vibration foam underneath it over the years so in cooler death the cover often rattle at stoplights, etc. It's function is purely cosmetic, and now I never have to hear that stupid rattle again.
If you don't mind me asking how much do you want for the cover? My truck doesn't have and I would like to have it depending on $$$. Shipping would be to 06851. Thank you.

Pulled the plastic door seal trim and touched the paint up from where it has rubbed for the last 10 years, quick easy and stop the rust before it starts

Not interested in selling for now. If I change my mind I'll let you know.

I am new to the 100 series. Coming from the 40 forum OCD Bettle has a really successful, fun thread where we post a pic of wheeling, a fix, a new part, etc. for our trucks.

It's neat to see the mix of projects, daily driving issues, weekend wheelin reports, etc.

I thought the 100 forum could use one...

I'll start...today I ordered an Iron Man 2 inch lift kit for my 99'.

YES, I just quoted myself. I started this thread with my last rig which I sold due to job/life/kids.

Well, i'm back.

Any pictures?

Replaced OEM sagging springs with new OEM springs. Went smooth other than a couple broken bolts with the sway bar linkage. Did the replace by only jacking up one side at a time and didn't need to undo anything other than sway bar and bottom shock bolt.

Pulled OEM rear DVD player that randomly died. Trying to think through alternatives for RES.

Ordered White Knucle sliders last week as well. Can't wait to get them and install!!
