Well took a while and a small fortune but new brake booster, remanufacured rear calipers, rebuilt my front calipers. Seven or so bottles of Toyota DOT3. Did the techstream brake bleed and good for another 208kmiles!

Looks really good! New brake booster fluid reminds me of the movie Red Dawn. "Now get up there and piss in that radiator!". LOL!

My thought is right before the oil change so that if any debris falls into the hole while replacing it, then it can hopefully flush out when I drain the oil.
^This, also I had the best luck getting at it through the driver's wheel well. Just remove the wheel and peel back the wheel well apron. Part I struggled w/ the most was threading the bracket bolt back in place.

yeah, thats the angle I took after lots of cussing and confusing tool combinations. good tip.

A year ago I pulled out my power steering reservoir and cleaned it. At the time I thought that looked good when I put it in. Blown away by the difference a brand new res makes… makes me want to whip out the credit card again.

Finished up the install of my Huracan tailgate storage. I opted to unwrap the loom so I can route the harness in the corner under the braces to keep it all clean and out of the way. I might cut out the brace on the left half so I have a little more room for the recovery rope to keep it in a bag in case it gets muddy from use. Otherwise, pretty satified.

Soft shackles, dynamic recovery rope, ratchet straps, jumper cables, gloves, safety glasses, and spare coils all out of the way but quickly accessible.

Looking good! With regard to the hangup issue as the stock tailgate gap cover impacts the new latches, consider this:

Having isolated the sharp & small radius of the leading edge of the gap cover as the problem, I started searching for suitable edge protection solutions.
I ended up at McMaster Carr & found 2 options that fit, one semi-rigid & the other soft. Grow up!
I prefer the look of the soft & flexible strip, but think it will just get destroyed. I put the rigid strip on & it works really well. It is a very tight fit and no adhesive is required. It came in a 10 ft length that was tightly coils for shipping, so it still has a bit of a cast that I expect (hope!) will relax over time.

I did see that during my research! Also made me question my choice to forego the marine carpet ...

I have two pieces of fuel line on there right now. If they pop off or cause issues, I'll look into the edge trim.

I had done some research for another project for readily available marine carpet. It's available, but not the same color/pattern as what Huracan supplied, so I didn't retain the info. I'm sure adding it later is perfectly feasible.

What isn't captured in my post is the fact that I started much like you did. Works great, okay, but then "life" gets drug in and out of the back of the truck and POOF...The little things are gone.

The full trim has been in place for over 2 years without a single hiccup.

Good luck and keep up the great work!

For those who use this thread to plan their mods, I made one update to the tailgate storage late yesterday evening ... I opted to cut out the 2nd support and trim back what remains of the supports to give me that little bit more space.

A little bit of work with a sawz-all and a finger sander plus some zinc primer and all potential snag points are (mostly) taken care of.

Much happier with this. I will be keeping the center support because I stand on the tailgate to get stuff off the roof.
