@offoradjunkie Thanks! It took me ~12 hours spread across a few days which includes having to cut the rear cross member for the ultra high clearance cross member with integrated hitch.

Jelly, I think I need to do this...Installed a new charcoal canister today, I have had one instance of fuel tank building too much pressure and a pretty strong fuel smell while refueling so I figured it was time.
I have a pretty strong fuel smell whenever I refuel and on startup, so I'll definitely try this at some point. The startup fuel smell is especially bad in the cabin.Installed a new charcoal canister today, I have had one instance of fuel tank building too much pressure and a pretty strong fuel smell while refueling so I figured it was time.
bummer. edit: I just responded to a message from a decade ago. Time to step away from the computer.Rolled it.
The same serpentine belt will still work with the new tensioner pulley.I tried to change out my tensioner pulley only to find out they updated the tensioner and the pulley was a half inch smaller.
The main thing though is I’m trying to get the input shaft with the underdrive kit so I can attempt to start a 8hp swap

Papa Wickey is looking to do an 8 speed transmission swap using the 8HPZF transmission. They're usually found in BMWs and RAM trucks, and the gents in Australia have actually done the swap before on the 1UZ engine before, so there's precedent. I think also a dude in Spain did it as well. I'm very interested as well but that'll definitely be a mod for later years.Fairly certain that any swap for 8hp is not worth the effort on a 5300 pound truck.
But I believe that you’re talking about an 8 speed transmission swap..??..
Now THAT I find very intriguing. Care to share any details?

I’m in that thread most days lol. Once I get everything else figured out I may make my own thread.Thread 'ZF 8HP70 conversion IFS 100 series - anyone with experience?'
Has anyone in IH8MUD world tackled successfully a conversion of a A442f (bus tranny) to utilise the more refined ZF 8HP70x slush box? Am keen to compare notes before tackling the task. am accumulating gear at the moment and have my new to me ZF sitting in the corner of the shed already. 8speedau did a conversion on a 105 with the straight axle but I need to see what is required for a IFS rig like mine.

Have a whole thread on it
Yes I had lowers replaced a year or so ago.Have you done the lowers yet? I did my uppers, but at 210k. Lowers are still original, and one of the final things I want to replace in my quest to replace all of the suspension with OEM.
The bulk of what I have gathered is from outlaw Mike in the 80 forum with some additional YouTube stuff from 8speedau.Fairly certain that any swap for 8hp is not worth the effort on a 5300 pound truck.
