Wife was spending more and more time driving the Cruiser than her Subaru Outback. Then she started eyeing LX470s. And now we have another 100 series sitting in the driveway....looked at the grey one too but ultimately brought the silver one home. Not even broken in at 113k miles.

I recently sold my 2004 100 Series that had issues with the info-tainment screen (it would freeze-up which disabled all of the functions). The folks that bought it have a garage full of collectible automobiles and employ their own mechanic. After explaining the issue to the new owner and their mechanic, he assured me he could correct the issue. I got a text yesterday telling me it was working like a charm and correcting the issue was fairly straight forward. So there’s hope for folks that want to keep “a stock look” and don’t want to tackle a “high dollar” upgrade. 😊

Did they say what the fix was?

Naw, he just said he was willing to help others that may have a similar issue.

Left or right side antenna mounting?

There are a couple of existing firewall options with factory grommets… depending upon the OD of the cable you want to add.
Soap it up and pull it through.

Powder Coated the original rims and wrapped them with the Ko3's. Now waiting for my paint match so i can finish the center caps. Finally finished refreshing the cooling system with new T's and hoses. Heat is on point for the winter!View attachment 3794483
I never thought these looked that great with the bronze colored rims but damn that looks good. Maybe it’s the stock rims pulling it all together but now I’m rethinking getting mine refinished. What color powder coat is that?

Super nice build....coming from the 80 series world. My 1997 80 Collector's Edition (3X locked) was stolen last month 😭😭😭 and I might....just might be interested in the 2006/07 100/LX470 series world. I've been doing my research on these lately.

V8 baby! But it's quite a trade-off for that solid front axle.

I saw your post in the 80 section. Sorry for your loss. I will say my daily is a 100 and I love it more than any daily I've ever owned. Compared to the 80 it has way more power, rides on the road a thousand time better and is just easy to drive. It's a road tripper's wet dream. The MPGs are only marginally better, and it isn't even a contest off road, but I've seen a few do more than what I thought they were capable of doing so probably better than most IFS suvs out there.
I think unless you're looking for serious off roader you will not be disappointed in the 100.

Agreed.

I had my wheeling fun in an 80 but I don't make enough to go risk breaking every weekend so my focus is now glamping with the wife and son and likeminded friends.

Thanks for this. I'm getting over the loss gradually. I wouldn't have thought I would be so attached to a car but this 80 I built up and it's provided me with amazing experiences. I agree with everything you've said regarding the 100 even though I've never owned one. But I see all that it's capable of doing with amazing comfort.

Thanks I was concerned that it wouldn’t come out ok but when I saw it I was very happy. It’s Le reve bronze (item # umb-5376) from prismatic powders. I order several shades of bronze before deciding. Finished with clear vision (item pps -2974) if I were to do it again I’d prob go with a satin finish. Nice rigs! Would you take your 100 to most places you took your 80? Or what % of them?
My 80 only had a rear locker but my 100 has no lockers as of right now...and I have a 178lb. RTT on top so besides the IFS, there are a couple different considerations to take into account. WITH a rear locker I'd put the percentage at 80%-90%, Once the winch is installed, I'd TRY nearly all of it. ;) knowing that I might tear the rear bumper cover off thereby justifying an aftermarket rear bumper purchase.

As it stands with no locker and being a bit top heavy and the winch not yet installed...maybe 70%
