Trying out the spidertrax spacers. 1.25. I like the front end feel a little more with them. No weird fit issues or anything. Time will tell if they stay on. Looks a bit better with it being flush after the swap.

I put mine on earlier this week, and feel the same way. Between new tie rod ends, two new front CV axles, then recently swapping 23yo AHC globes, the spacers, and then doing the techstream/ torsion bar thing today- it rides a LOT better. If the old K02s on it were in better balance it'd be like a new truck.

But now my steering rack leak is getting worse. That should be it on the front end, though. Hopefully. 😄

Had a slightly busy weekend with the cruiser. I got the Huracan tailgate storage installed. I opted to cut the center support for more storage. I also extended the rear diff breather. The front, I’ll do when I replace the steering rack in a few weeks.

The diff breather hose was 1/4” fuel line. I routed it through the factory breather mount up to the fuel filler neck. Ran it up the neck and, tied in a universal fuel filter to keep debris out, before feeding it out into the fuel fill door cavity.

Just installed my Group 31P upgrade kit from Slee. I should have taken a before pic, since the wiring was a bit of a mess. Took me a few hours to install, but that was mainly cleaning up the old accessory wiring I had before connecting to the new battery.

Just back from full ceramic tint all windows. A bit too soon to notice any difference from the old tint. With the AC on, by the time I got home on a 15 minute drive, it felt like I had been driving 1 hour on a holiday trip. I'm just hoping it will be a bit cooler after sitting in the sun.

We keep our Cruiser stored in Colorado and fly out often from Missouri. After skiing last weekend, I "converted it" to Moab mode for our yearly trip out there next month and to Salt Lake City to visit "Cruisers and Coffee" at the Land Cruiser Hertiage Museum. Slapped the roof basket on, gas and water Jerry's, traction boards and fluid filmed the undercarriage (love that stuff). I did all of this in our hotel parking lot--I'm sure they loved it. Rear bumper by ValleyTech (Garret Tamerius) as posted in my other thread a couple of weeks ago.

Have a great week, everyone!

This is a great install. Well done.

My D bulb burned out, I didn't mind it while it worked the last 5 years i've had my 100, let's see if I get to replacing it one day.

Got hungry for some falafel late Saturday night, pulled up to get the food and find another fishy cruiser head thinking the same exact thing.

Side note: Every time I’m driving along Arapaho Rd in between i25 and say S Parker Rd. I see a plethora of 100’s. At a four way stop just the other there was 3 100’s at the same intersection. I’m wearing my horn out lately just honking at you guys.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered new OEM CV along with the entire front end it feels like. All things for both wheel bearings, flanges, oil seals.

Debating doing the steering rack as I have a little leak and theres some play. Thought I could get by on superpro bushings, but nah.
Check into the steering column for play too if you haven't already.

BTW I like that username, shrooms are awesome

Do prices below $420 come up for CVs these days?

Yessir. Went through it. Tried everything before realizing it’s the rack and inner tie.

And thanks man. I run a mushroom farm outside of my day job. Low cost food, tons of compost for the garden, and pretty fun to boot. Still not a steak, but they’ll do lol.

You may benefit from replacing front diff bushings if haven't done yet. That will reduce the infamous driveline clunk

Yep. They were done a while back. Helped a bunch, but I can feel the clunk in the flange and cv spines. Can hear it too. Just a matter of time when I’m off the beaten path and they strip. Nice little clicking sound too. It’s time. 206k.
