93 fjz80 VX limited. Gas motor but has right around 135000 miles on it. Is it pretty easy to get comfortable with right hand drive?
Really easy to get used to RHD, the biggest thing I’ve found is that I tend to hit the wipers instead of the turn signals if I switch back and forth between LHD and RHD.

I rolled the 40 out of storage this weekend. Not under it's own power. The top-end rebuild starts very soon.

Back from a trip south. Cleaning etc. tonight. It sits until AK in July. Got August in Great Lakes for her as well.

I'll be in the U.P. in September. I haven't been up there in at least 15 years. That's much too long.

funny, wife and I are planning a trip there in mid Sept also, never been to the UP
It's a special place. The Keweenaw is great. The drive between Marquette and Whitefish Point, passing the Pictured Rocks, has been a favorite of mine for many years.

Sending 10 trucks out on a project soon. Running through all pre trip stuff etc and became curious the rigs total milage. Most of my trucks have been driven a bit. Couple tundras for support. Rest for being used as Toyota intended in the mountains.

Last year, I somehow lost one of my Owl Expedition ASAP Flaps while driving. Unfortunately, it appears @Ramathorn15 is out of business now and replacement flaps are impossible to buy. I've been looking at getting more made, or just using the first as a template and making another set myself, but for now I used the same hardware and removed the brackets to hang some Amazon specials. They look the part and will do the job, but are more rigid and much higher off the ground, so the odds of catching them on a rock is much lower than the ASAP Flaps. I may go back at some point, I may not. We'll see how these work.

Aesthetically, they fit the bill nicely.

Picked up the 80 on Wednesday and drove it back home yesterday. @AirheadNut definitely turned on the wipers a few times trying to use the turn signals. Runs and drive great but I will need to reseal the oil pan and do a full axle seal kit before it’s trail worthy. I also order sliders but they 4-6 weeks out so I should see them middle to end of June.

That is a beautiful truck! @MTMarcoux

We’re going to need more pictures!
Here’s a few more photos. The radio is in Japanese and frequency is different than the states, I’m glad it has Bluetooth but I had to use Google Translate to figure out how to connect my phone. It looks like it originally had the AHC system although the called it TEMS (Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension)

Looks very nice! The cooled center console is super nice to have, does yours still have the little ice cube trays? The factory Toyota winches are burly units, actual capability definitely exceeds the rating. As far as I know AHC was never offered on the 80-series, the Norm/Sport button controls electronic valves in the shock absorbers to make them more or less stiff. In my experience the system is not very reliable, on the two JDM Cruisers I've had with those still intact neither worked.

It does not still have to Ice cube tray. That’s good to know about the factory winch, It looks like it’s the original cable so I will likely replace it with a synthetic line. I just looked up the electronic valves in the shocks and that makes sense. It looks like the shocks have been replaced so it isn’t functional anymore. That means I have an open switch location for another accessory
