1.) Removed my Ironman 4x4 80 Series Deluxe Commercial Bull Bar BBCD004
2.) Sanded down some rusty spots on the bumper frame mounting locations and applied Chassis Saver (awesome stuff!).
3.) Installed the Warn VR 10,000 winch... (Wife just bought it for me as an early b-day gift)
4.) Reinstalled the Ironman
Did a few field tests. Works great and didn't kill my cruiser fund$.

took the kids sledding. My first real foray onto snow and ice. Ended up performing a taxi role, shuttling the little critters up the sledding hill once they got too tired to walk...
Ironically, my 80 has one of the best 4WD systems in the world, yet it handles worse than one of my kid's plastic sleds! Could it be the tires? It came with Wrangler MTRs. Wondering if having the tires siped would help. Do not look forward to driving this at icy highway speeds. And yes, I still running tire pressures in the mid 30s.

Tires. Last winter my parents place driveway, steep slope, was so slippery you could not walk it. Pure ice, inches thick, and wet. The 80 went up and down without even spinning. Studded tires.

Service guy in F150 insisted my dad drive the 80 out because he thought they were stuck (cabin in back woods). He was disappointed he did not get to use his winch.

I googled search and yup NA market only. He didn't charge me so I got her for free!

Kind of like getting a puppy for free then having to buy all of the dog food...

Inexpensive and fun DIYs:
Changed the oil
Replaced all exterior bulbs (w/ cheap replacements for now)

Yeaaaaaaa

Why spend $$ on OEM coils when you could get the OME 861/862 stock height coils and all the benefits that come along with them?

A lot of folks like the stock coils...
It looks like now the OEM factory coils are now unavailable the OME 861/862 stock ride height coils are the closest choice to stock now. I don't know of any company that makes close to stock height coils.
Another benefit these 861/862 coils offer is a dual spring rate of 170/250 lbs. front 170/260 lbs. rear. Stock rate is 170 lbs.

Will there be a build thread?

Not a dedicated one yet. Sharing some knowledge and experiences in Rock40's thread in the Diesel section, as he is doing the same in parallel.

View attachment 1168988 Got the 42" light mounts grinded to fit the Baja Rack...

Just curious how you like your 42" light Bar mounted up there on the rack. Mine is up there too, but unfortunately I have a white bonnet, and it illuminates it like daylight...Figured the only fix is to angle the light bar further upwards. Any comments?

Took a trip to Reno with my girlfriend and her parents. Made a quick stop on the way so her parents could play in the snow for the first time in about 10 years.

Should have ran up and to the right, straight up to signal peak, amazing view if you could make it with the snow on the trail.
