Changed the engine and diff. oils. She's purring and running like a top.

All of the issues that I had with the fuel delivery system are sorted out. When I turn the key... she roars to life straight away.

I'm really proud of her. This trip was all about what she wanted to do and I was merely an advisor, spotter and a recovery rig. She picked the trails that she wanted me to lead and she followed. The folks from SAS filled her head with the Wall and 37s and all that so she really wanted to overcome her own fears, and to puff out her chest! Truthfully, we thought the gatekeeper to the Wall was way more challenging than the actual Wall itself. That's where she needed a tug from here and there.

I'm proud to say that she's been going down the steps on Black Bear on her own since she started driving her 4runner. I always give her the option to wait for me to walk back up to the steps after I go down it first, but she ends up being right behind me! She doesn't see what the big deal is with BB steps. Wait till you have a taller rig with more crap up top - is my usual response.

I do sleep with one eye open due to the fact she's been jonesing to get a hold of the 80 keys for years now :hmm:
That's amazing. I don't have a ton of off road driving experience and the steps felt pretty sketchy the first time.

Sounds like you raised a pretty awesome human. Congratulation on that.

My daughter wants a 3rd gen 4runner more than anything but she thinks my 80 it like a huge tractor so it's safe for now!

Also need to thank the guy in the 80 (seen in background) at Buck Island for heckling my friend in the red Jeep properly on Heckle Hill! 😁

Also- I’m adding this into an edit as not to be a post hog. Man what a trip! Zero issues. I checked my steering stud nuts every morning and that was the only tool I touched.
A big thank you to the forum contributors; I learned so much from this tech board that helped make the trip successful. Also the guys at DVS and Cruiser Outfitters, especially Ollie for answering all 1000 questions.
