What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I might be wrong but the manual says you want the antenna away from glass and as high above the vehicle as possible. We have the WeBoost and use it a lot when we drive to SD from Arizona and run the magnet antenna on the Rav4 now the 4Runner and where we had crappy signal we have better luck and do not drop signal so Apple music keeps playing and Podcasts are not interrupted.
Originally mounted on top of my Gobi using a foldable mount similar to my other vehicle. Pretty sure it's tmobile.

The mounting location isn't helping. Much of the signal is being blocked by the back of the truck. You'd be much better off if it was higher than the roof line above a horizontal surface.
Where I live/travel, the problem is usually trees/ branches.

I guess you could try to point the antenna toward a cell tower, if you know where one is. I don’t really care all that much.

Oil and Filter change, brake and clutch fluids look horrible so will flush them next. Slowly getting all the fluids replaced.

Small oil filter because firstly it's what Mr Yota specifies for this (11/96) and secondly I have a theory (probably incorrect) that I get oil pressure faster with the smaller filter and this doesn't do many km anyway so the oil will probably be changed in 12 months rather than due to KM.

Changed oil and shamelessly copied one of Box Rocket's ideas. Want new rims but I'm gonna go 17's when I do. Can't seem to wear these tire out so till I do I'm happy with this.

Johnny at cruisers and company will be installing a Turbo to my 93 OBD1. 14lbs boost and the works!
I would love to see how this turns out. I have a 94 and current kits don't work with OBD rigs.

Over the past 1.5 months, culminating to this weekend:

Front axle rebuild
Rear Axle bearings & seals
Full brake system rebuild - gathering parts for larger discs up front
Front and Rear 4.88 gears with Eaton E-Locker in front (shout out to Joe at Performance Muffler & Auto in Montrose for the set up!)
Raceline 930B Shift on BFG 315 /70 R17 KO2's
Sheila - New Shoes.jpg

Still need to run wiring for the front locker.
Plan to add some kind of lunchbox locker, swing-out bumper & sliders next spring. It's been a long time coming.
Getting big smiles per gallon this weekend!!

Just found out why I've been bottoming out every time I've tried to put shorter springs on, the track bar bracket is hitting a crossmember. It wasn't hitting when i bought the 80 because the lift was so high, I've been trying to lower it with no success, it finally dawned on my dumb brain that its not a bump stops or springs issue, so i started looking at some of the diy stuff from the p/o. Good news is the track bar will have better geometry after i drill a new position for it, I’ll also grind down the bracket a couple inches for now.

I do not think changing the location of the panhard bar will solve your problems of bottoming out unless you chop down the mount itself on the axle side. It is a lot taller then factory.

Yep, I’m gonna grind/cut that bracket down. And redrill for a better location. I think cutting it down would be enough for now, but I really should move the track bar, I’m lowering the truck from about a 5” lift to about 2.5-3” lift,

I would remove the track bar and leave the rig under weight so you can figure out the best location for the panhard. As long as it is parallel to the axle you are good, It wont stick out farther one side then the other.
