I haven't done any of this to mine yet, however, my opinion would be that if you're going to have a shower/running water setup, this makes more sense vs an extended range tank and water jerry cans on the back/roof. That's the route I plan to take with fuel cans on the swingout and water tank underneath. To each their own
As someone else said, it’s to each their own and depends on your goals for your truck. I personally don’t travel far enough between stations to need auxiliary fuel. I however want a hot shower every few days but don’t want to pay for a campground or other way to shower. My pump goes to a quick connect in the bumper and I just hang

Nice! How many gallons? I just recently added an 18 gallon tank under the truck where the spare used to be and put an on demand pump in the quarter panel.
Damn, you’ve really used that space well! Once I rip my drawers out I’d like to do something similar to Mount an air compressor too.. it’s a 44L tank.. roughly 10gallons? Have a 200L long range fuel tank in the spare wheel well so opted for the footwell

Damn, that gasland tankless looks huge! Makes me realize I really need to watch dimensions when I pull the trigger.. I like the idea of the old spare tire solution and will likely go there but think I can figure something out up inside the frame. Don't need the clearance but not sure I like it hanging down. When I had a 35" spare there it hung down and just looked like a big diaper on the 80. Good to see shower solutions coming out, I'm hoping to get a ton of ideas at the overland expo coming in 3 days and maybe start trying to put something together soon.

It’s really not all that big IMO and like I said in another post I could have prob snugged the tank up a little higher. It also sits between the frame rails. I don’t know if a shower solution is “coming out” per se. I honestly made this up as I went along with a couple of ideas in my head and hoped it would work out. It mostly has and I already have ideas for version 2.0. That hot water heater and many nearly identical ones have been around for a while. I just came up with an idea for the tank and where to hide the pump. I also ordered these and passed the hoses through the body.
You can have both. There is a fuel tank, which is a part of an Australian kit, that sits above the spare tire.
I'm in the process of installing one of these. Instead of the spare wheel, which will be mounted on the rear bumper, I planning on installing a stainless steel water tank.
This will give me both extra fuel and water, while maintaining current clearance.

I'm pretty sure that one extends down past the frame rail though, which kinda sucks because it sits exactly where you're going to get hung up in terms of breakover.

Does anyone have pictures of the long range tank that replaces the existing tank and sits where it sits vs. the long range tank that sits where the spare tire sat? Also, what is the capacity of each of them? I'd prefer the one that sits where the spare tire sits as I don't want anything extending lower than the frame. Thanks!

I don't have pictures personally but if you search the forum for LRA tanks there are a couple threads that have pictures. That's how I knew the one that replaced the main extended past the frame rail. I saw a few install pictures.
